I have finally created this showroom to show you my maps for MTA 1.0, for the moment I have almost completed my first map you can see below.

only 540 polys (it's LP I know turn.gif )

 

Already ingame just need to add mipmaps and I will post ingame screens later.

It will be only available on the Pothole studios Motorsport server

 

By the way ideas are welcome for a 2nd map, I have already an idea, a remake of dust2 but I don't know if it worth it, tell me.

I think they make textures blur when they're far away, so they don't look all pixely or something.

wow chinese whispers kinda works lol.gif i read about it in some topic then told him and here we are.

 

good model but.. looks rather bland? you should make it higher poly and more interesting, if the models have better wireframe maps then you'll be able to do cool lighting efects like you would see at a real race track.

Yeah that's it.

Can't add mipmaps because G-txd crash all the time when I add a texture... that's sucks

somebody know an other txd editor who able to add mipmaps?

Thanks, the model looks good with a low poly count too, you just need to use a good lighting setting.

If you can find DexX's script for ingame-txd making, I think it not only does native DDS but also the mip channels. Can't find it though, maybe you'll have better luck.

Very good model, good usage of the textures and especially nice while lowpoly model. The race itself isn't that special though, in my opinion. It's "just" driving in cirkels...

 

If you would like to cooperate with me, we could start up a server with custom maps, or is that server your server? Anyway, I'm going to start a server with some other guys in a few weeks (when we have enough maps). Only good maps are allowed and especially custom maps. If you would like to join us, or if you got a server and you would like us to join, please inform me smile.gif!

No luck for me turn.gif I've also tried Ultimate editor by Thakilla it have a mipmaps support but it's not working it crash my game. whatsthat.gif

Yeah it's a good idea I have already a server but I don't know If my 100/mbits connection is enough for 32 players biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif do you have an IRC channel or something we can speak together ?

Very nice. I wouldn't be concerned about the polycount, you used enough to display what you needed to display and the textures are really nice.

Today I'm working on the new map called "Prison" It's a remake of Dust2 from cs, the base of the map will be a lot modified and you aren't be able to recognize it, I try to keep it low poly with a lot of details. It will be also compatible with, dm, tdm and zm gamemodes.

 

btw if someone know a bombsite gamemode or can do the script, reply here smile.gif I will post some screens when I will have a good progress on it.

I'm going to make a few objects-maps, but with a cool vehicle model. I got a good idea for the name.

 

3dsMax --> Maximum

SketchUp --> Ketchup

 

Ketchup is a sauce that gives an extra taste to something. If you add hella lot of ketchup, the taste should be unforgivable good. Our server is maximum ketchup: the best taste ever turn.gif . The name is also a combination of the two programmes we work with: 3dsMax (Maximum) and SketchUp (Ketchup).

Sounds like a good name to me, "Maximum Ketchup". You can make cool logos for it too. My idea was a ketchup bottle that spilled some ketchup; the spilled ketchup forms the name of the server: Maximum Ketchup.

These are just ideas though..

Yes. Incredible is it? You can also add maps from other people, maps from your brother, your sister, your mom, your friends, your girlfriend and even maps from the internet! Isn't that great! happy.gif

It's sound cool to me Puma wink.gif I think this name will be easy to keep in mind for the players but more oriented for funny things like your maps, apart If I add cartoonish textures on my maps biggrin.gif but whatever I like it ! turn.gif

Mipmaps resize texture more to more low resolution when you're more far from it. Have you seen Las Venturas airport big fence texture?

 

(It's in San Andreas) It looks fuzzy when you go away from it. That's coz it has no mip maps.

 

2Mark, when i saw nascar track, i almost pissed my pants. The low ply count is even suggestable to do, so downloading this map doesn't takes forever, i have very fast i-net connection, but in some servers i have wait like 5-10 minutes to download 5mb files..

 

About last map, it's inside building, so then you can't recognize the base, right? I like it very much! Only i'd make floor less polywasting.

 

P.S. Don't post big pictures, the shooting map's 2nd (wireframe) image is very fit size, but the normal picture is way too big. wink.gif
