Classic or Standard?

I use classic, so used to it from other GTA's.

 

Please post! No flaming each other please, Just want to see which is more prefered!

Standard for me, don't think i could go back to classic. And I'v played most GTA's

I just like the fact its triggers, makes it easy to judge your speed and braking.

I use standard, more easier to control. You can control how much speed you put to the car. If you hold it slightly, it will go slow. Classic, it's alright, both work for me but I prefer standard.

I like the triggers being gas and brake. Feels better like that. Whitch is one of the things I didn't like about the driving in Saints Row 2 ( gas= and brake= )

Wow, that game is sh*t. I bought and played it for about a day, it seems like it has the graphics of San Andreas.

 

I remember when the reviews first come out for it, they said it could be better than IV

lol yeah SR2 doesn't even come close to IV.

However, SR2 really is a funny game. With all the cheats you can use, it keeps the game fresh. Plus I like the customization of it. Making a super obese guy with the I am giant cheat on, riding the SR2 version of the faggio just makes me ROTFLOL.

But I use Classic, since being in Romans taxi at the start I swapped it over!

Only used standard twice, once to see if circling the heli is easier than standard, and one race but I still prefered Classic!

 

Jewb, what do those other elite racers use? Leon, I'm too fast, slider etc?

I used classic at first but later i tried standard and its is much easier. Also makes the driving more fun too on standard.

Shooting, it honestly makes 0 difference between classic and standard and in fact, I find shooting with the bottom L2/R2 buttons annoying compared to holding the controller the way I'm used to.

 

Driving/Flying, standard is superior. Not to say you can't adapt (and BDB is GREAT practice for this) but driving and shooting behind you in Classic - lulz

I've always used the standard configuration, but i tried the classic a month ago. Since then i'm always doing it the classic way. I find it easier to aim and also i can tap quicker with / , people should try it. You'll like it after a while

 

Edit: As Double_Deagle said above it's a pain in the ass changing between the both types, i often have to though. When i'm shooting from the chopper i use the standard config. and on ground the classic config. but after a while you get used to change it and it takes 2 seconds.

I think it depends on who took the time to learn the new style controls at the start of the game. And from what I have read, they are much easier to use.

 

I never took the time and have tried since, but can't get used to standard.

I had played some racing games and shooters before GTA came out so that got me use to the R2/L2, and all i can say is, it just feels better. Triggers rule. Don't think i could play IV with the classic controls (and yeah i'v played pretty much every GTA )

I agree. But i made the mistake of trading in my IV for SR2 and i have been regretting it. Stupid mistake. But now im happily reunited with my copy of IV ^_^

But SR2 is really not that bad. It has so much content but they need to brush it up a bit.

The one thing i really liked was the zombie mini game. Fun as.

 

Anyway.. back to topic.. I like the Standard controls best because its easier to shoot with the triggers.

Standard is better, but I can't give up classic. I wish I had taken the time to get used to standard when I started the game.
