Lets get nostalgic people

 

I was just thinking back on when I first got the game and I got quite nostalgic actually, I always think of this game as the GTA game I like the least. And now that I think of it I actually LOVED free roaming in this game, like a lot. Now I have been into GTA since GTA2 came out I was like 6 or something but I've played them ever since and the only game I have actually finished is GTA IV and TLAD because I was just so young when I played the others and I didn't care about story all I wanted to do was free roam!

 

I feel ashamed over it but I can't go back to them now I've tried doing it with SA but I can't, I hate the shooting, it's awful when compared to IV and VC and GTA3 are even worse, I should try harder sometime because, I really, really wanna go through the stories but I just can't now I don't know why I don't like the shooting at all and you do a lot of shooting and it just isn't fun in the older games.

 

anyways back to my first experience.

 

I had no clue the game was comming out until it actually was in stores I found out that a friend had it and I jumped on IGN looking at gameplay trailers my first reaction was that the Uzi in the game sounded like a toy gun or something, lol.

 

Anyways I went to my mom's place over the week, I was free from school but my other friend wasn't because their school didn't start the holidays or whatever you should call it until a few days later, so in the morning while my "half brother" would go to school I'd stay home and play GTA San Andreas and I had a good time, man I went to the country place and drove around with the bike doing stunt jumps, then me and a few friends went looking for the ATV in the game, and we eventually found it. Later I kinda stopped playing the game but then got back into it and noticed that there was a parachute and a Harrier Plane I believe it's called Hydra in San Andreas, and we had a lot of fun.

 

But I always sort of played SA with friends and never alone so I never truly got into it, tomorrow I'm gonna go back to it for free roaming and do all sorts of crazy sh*t, turn off the cops and go exploring. After that I'm gonna try to start the story in GTA3 and then go through all three games, but I think it'll be a pain with the controls, but I hope I can get through them

 

So what are you guys first experience with this game?

Ah yes the first time getting it and playing sure is fun.I remember when I first played it I started exploring,shooting,and looking at the details in the game.Good times good times.

When I played SA the first time, it certaily was a trip. The area was so huge and at first it almost felt that fun was never going to end and there would always be something to explore. It really felt like real freedom. Especially the countryside and the dessert. I still sometimes try to recapture that emotion, but it ain't coming back. Only little pieces of it.

Heh, I remember my first time in San Andreas, lulz. Never try to put cheats in while you're around Ballas.

OT: it was sure a goooood experience, I remember making a few first missions, then took a car and passed a lot of time going around Los Santos to find the airport, when I finally got there, jumped the booth, then I had my very first experience in SA aviation with a Dodo, I was amazed of how fun and realistic it was....... (compared to VC)

before that, I saw a video showing the Bone County desert, I was like "OMFG!!!!! HOW IT COULD BE????!!!!"

Now that I think about it, I think I went on the bike, into the Vagos territory, and got killed, lulz.

Seriously though, I remember I preordered the game and got it a day earlier than the release date as the shop where I pre-ordered it from received the stock early. I was in 5th grade so I really didn't have anything better to do, so I went home and played it for a few hours. I wasn't doing the missions though, I remember the first time I entered a car was a Perennial along the bridge over Grove Street, with K-JAH West playing, and the song "Chase The Devil" by Max Romeo playing in the background. I also then remember driving along the freeway around Los Santos International endlessly.

Firrssttt time I played San Andreas was on PS2. At then,since my buddy was telling me some cheats,I was amazed with the atmosphere. I thought I was playing something equivalent to IV at that moment. Plus,I didn't even played the missions. I just strolled around LS,not knowing there are another 4 boroughs to go through.

I had doubts at the very beginning

When i saw his bag tumble into the darkness i was all like wtf is this man. Then i really liked it. I remember talking to my friend saying "I reackon in the future we will think these graphics and gameplay suck"

However i STILL play this game, after a while you dont even notice it its so fun

First time I played it I cycled CJ around Los Santos for ages, just scoping stuff out, before I went to the marker on the map. Just blew my mind.

I just free-roamed the first one month of GTA SA all around Los Santos

 

Then started missions which ended at Burning Desire as Denise would refuse to go home and I'd be stuck (Peds riot cheat hehe )

 

Then again restarted the missions with a new save game, the rest is history, have completed the game five times, thrice with 100 %

Ahhh my first experience, I started hitting cars with bats to destroy and popping wheels just to enjoy the feeling unlike in GTA III where I couldn't

When I first played SA I actually thought the graphics were worse than GTA III, and VC. All I can remember is going up near the Jefferson Motel, and beating up Ballas.
