Blue and white cop cars? WTF! Can't they be lime and white?

Kowaah, frank.s made those cars, they're just like in PS beta 1.2, because Police uniforms are black, so cop cars are blue-white and black-white.

Frank.s, I tried all those HQ Roads and grass, and there are some places look like that, it's not a huge bug, it's just a road collision which goes in two seperate ways, there are some places, BUT there is a bug, and that is that dock pave doesn't fit very well, because the white lines on it just don't match, and it looks odd. confused.gif

But new roads and pavements sometimes don't fit, but it's hardly noticable in game (unless you look only at that). lol.gif

People, I need your opinion about new police uniforms and police cars. Should we have black or dark blue or original police uniforms, or maybe uniforms like in the Kowaah's screenshots (white shirts with dark blue jeans)? Also, should the police cars be blue-white and black-blue, or green-white (like in VC)? Or maybe some other colour? monocle.gif

Yes, but I resized it to 512x512, and all the textures in PS will be 256x256 and 512x512 (1024x1024 doesn't make too much difference, it only takes MB wink.gif ).? Also, my graphic card doesn't support ENB Series, so your water doesn't look the same as in your screenshot. BTW, can you tell me your opinion about the question in previous post? smile.gif

I think we should have black and white police cars

and either dark blue cop uniforms or black cop uniforms. smile.gif

 

I don't think we should have original vc uniforms because in the 80's miami cops wore brown uniforms (i think) and

i don't think we should have dark blue trousers+white shirts because it might make the cops look like SA paramedics.

I don't think you f*cking know this mod is supposed to be in 90's Vice City, so SA styled stuff is meant to be here.

I don't think you've understand frank.s very well. He said whe should not have VC uniforms, and that we should have dark blue or black police uniforms. I think that white and blue police uniforms are for the navy, right? But they can also fit as police uniforms. But what are your opinions about the police cars? Which colour should they be?

GREAT NEWS!! I got the permission from Vayan to use some of the features from VC: Second Wave, so in PS beta 1.3 there will be Trash-Dash missions, ability to call the taxi, car speedometer and car health-meter. Screenshots coming soon! happy.gif

I think the Police cars should be Blue-White and Black-White.

This is the blue colour which I use for blue cop cars in a Vice mod of mine

(0,31,62 # 95 A610 CopBlue) just add that line to carcols.dat and add 95 to the cop line

Frank.s, why would I code the same thing that's already done?

If you read the mod's main post, you could see that I'm planning many small missions and features, like Trash-Dash, Caddy-Daddy, Call the taxi feature... Why would I make the same thing, which is not easy to script, and Vayan has done a great mod for it? mercie_blink.gif

Kowaah, do you really need to be so mean to everyone? I see that on nearly every thread, you tell people that they are idiots, that they f*ck themselves... And more which I won't mention. wink.gif What do you mean by 'lime and white'?

Also, car health meter and speedometer are great updates, and so I can use them. Why would people install those mods themselves, if I can add all the features for them? Maybe I'll release some patches without some features. wink.gif

ALMOST610, frank.s has made blue-white and black-white police cars, so maybe I should keep them? Or your colours are a little different?

 

Something about Police Stories: It's a total conversion mod which changes nearly all parts of the game, and adds many new missions (including storyline and side missions), mainly adds great police features (calling for backup, roadblocks, no time on Vigilante missions...), minimizes violence (you can only kill gang members, criminals and psychos), adds a VC map in the '90s style, changes textures with better ones, to fit in the '90s (all of them are 256x256 or 512x512, so it's not ment to be a mod for better graphics), mainly adds a whole storyline with over 50 missions... Basically, it's not only a police mod, but mod which adds many new textures, map editions, side missions (like races, Caddy-Daddy, Trash-Dash...), police features, VC Engine Improvements (car health meter, speedometer, fixing bugs...)... wow.gif

Of course, it is mainly ment to be a police mod, with police storyline and abilities, but it WILL contain many more features.

Didn't wanted to pm drakic and start conversations after long time but show some screens of what i've done.

 

Almost all vegetation is remodelled and retextured. (1 texture is from IV, but that's not excessive ammount of model conversions, right? Plus the tommy model isn't included, just i don't have player or any other things from mod which isn't mine at all.)

But I must say something: Althrough this is mainly a police mod, I use the new textures, just like I use car health and speed meters. I try to upgrade everything, to make a whole new game, you understand now Kowaah? happy.gif

EDIT: So you mean by 'lime and white' that it should be 'light green and white'?

It will be similar to Second Wave. I haven't added it yet, when I do, you'll see updates in the mod's main post, and I'll release some screenshots.

I think that taxi is good for a cop, because in TC: NYC, you can enter any taxi. wink.gif

As for the undercover, I'll add police backup later. happy.gif

You could create a side mission called "Car Collection" how you have to go round the city to location and collect stolen cars and bring them to the police station kind of like in IV how you have to get the cars only that these ones would have already been stolen and you are just getting them back.

ALMOST610, awesome idea, and I will use it! Later versions of PS will contain VCH missions (Vice City Hero) which will be instead of assassination missions, and in your stats it will say 'VCH missions completed', rather than 'Assassination contracts completed'. VCH missions will contain randimized missions, from escorting criminals to jail to arresting criminals. I can use your idea for these missions, so that you impound stolen cars to VCPD. Great. wink.gif

Would it be possible to make a mission like the one in VCS and LCS how you get a heavy vehicle (eg. Coach, Firetruck etc.) and have to cause as much damage as possible.

Well, that wouldn't suit a police mission. It's illegal, and too violent. BTW, Kowaah, please post a little smaller screenshots, because they take too much space.

I have uploaded a screenshot of the new Vercetti Gang, they look better than the old one. happy.gif

Currently I'm adding those features from VCSW, and I'm also creating the 1990's VC and new gangs. There is one small bug, and I'm fixing it. DJSik_92 is now working on new white gang called 'Aryan Brotherhood' a.k.a. 'Skinheads'. smile.gif
