Well, the Avery's building is not done yet, see the first post, and see what's green for now (it means it's done, and if it's red, it's WIP). However, new screens are uploaded and are waiting approval. wink.gif

Good stuff, also i have an idea.

I see the white and brown original fence, after you send the map to drakic i could make a brand new fence to replace the old type. icon14.gif

Well, the old fence is sh*ty, and new one would be great. But, I don't know, if drakic likes that idea, sure. And you're very creative (like Chip Foose smile.gif ), so make it how do you like it. I don't have any ideas.

Well, Orto_Dogge doesn't like your map changes, but no matter, keep working on them, I like most of them. And try to replace the downtown building with something white. icon14.gif

Small News,

I have now got 3ds max 9, and it will take me a while to use it competently, but i have it! lol.gif

 

I have been experimenting with ped rigging and so far i have been able to get in-game a san andreas rednecks head.

The rest of the body hasn't been rigged because i never finished rigging it, and btw i used Creative Madman's "Simplest rigging tutorial in the universe".

 

As for modeling in 3dsmax, i haven't got any knowlege just yet because i am focusing on editing things i can't already do using my other programs.

 

I've figured out how to do animations, so i can change every single in-game anim.

I replaced all the vc player movement animations to cj's san andreas for fun, and to get used to anim editing.

 

I know how to create scratch-made animations, but thay have to replace existing ones, i can't make an animation with a completely new

name because vice citys animation system is a bit crap, unlike san andreas's (in sa you can ADD animations, i mean).

 

As far as I know, every animation is editable, and so are cutscenes because they are .ifp files too.

I'm able to import/export cutscenes, but exporting CS's has bugs atm, because Kam's scripts won't import cutscene characters (rigged cutscene character models). dontgetit.gif

 

Edit: I've found a fix, using in-game characters has no bugs exept no mouth or eye movements in modded cutscenes, w00t.

 

Edit 2:

I have been messing around with scm scripts for scratch made cutscenes.

And i've made a bit of progress, but i somehow made it do this, Playstation 2-style.

I have cracked brand new cutscenes, not just in-game anims with the toggle_widescreen scm opcode on.

There is one problem though; there is no face movment, this is because i cant use "CS----.dff" player models in cutscenes. confused.gif

All of the new cutscenes wont have moving eyes or mouths, i will put a video up to show it, but not very soon.

 

The .ifp files of a cutscene contain the whole cutscenes model movements and the .dat files of a cutscene contain the cutscenes camera views and angles.

All of the cutscene's .ifp's and .dat's are in the "cuts.img" file in the anim folder.

I am still learning cutscene camera .dat editing.

 

I have been able to add cutscenes ingame by using a hex editor to edit the cutscenes character animatons and 3dsMAX to edit and re-export the cutscenes so they work ingame.

The cutscenes use a brand new .mp3 too, i used the lc launcher hack prog to add the .mp3 to the engine, and also used the launcher to add the new cutscene files to the vc engine.

 

We are using the lc launcher, with a re-written .ini file, and i changed it from GTA Liberty city bits to GTA Police Stories in the launcher.

Sort-of..

Do you need these types of cameras? If you don't, I warmly recommend you to stick to scm coding cameras with Sanny Builder. turn.gif

Yes, these are really big news. I like the idea of SA player animations to VC. Tell me which animations are there, walking, running, jumping, falling... This would be great for PS, and it's even better that SA is a popular game, I guess more people will like the animation then.

As for the cutscenes, it sounds great, but first, there'll need to be some missions. For now there's a no-mission script, so I'll send it to frank.s soon to sort it out, and then first mission will be scripted, and then the cutscene. smile.gif

I've finished modeling the first new police stories weapons,

and they will have these new hud icons i made.

This will be the police's shotgun, avalible from any police cruiser or police department.

Is GTA Police Stories v1.3 going to be ready before christmas ?

I don't know the exact release date, but I think it'll be out soon. Frank.s need to finish the weapons first, and I need to fix some textures and script. alien.gif

Well, this idea is made by omar612, R* didn't confirm where Tony escaped after the assassination, neither when it was. Did R* confirm it was in 1995? dontgetit.gif
