I'm not sure exactly who you guys are talking about, but what's wrong with telling a female she looks good? Why's it so horrible to tell a female she looks good through the internet when it's perfectly fine to do it in person? I tell ladies that they look good in person all the time, but that doesn't mean I'm trying to get in their pants.

 

Talking like that to random people is weird any way you look at it, but it also depends on the other person, chances are they might enjoy your compliments. However, I think it's generally better to give compliments to people you actually know to avoid awkward situations (maybe that person isn't single, etc).

 

I'm sure you guys are experts at getting women

If being an "expert at getting women" means giving cheap out of place compliments then count me out.

 

Edit: To the post below (to avoid any further spam), giving compliments to people you know is fine. Giving compliments to strangers is a whole different thing. You never know how the person will react if they don't know you. Luckily this is not so much the case with this thread. From what I can tell people post pictures in this topic to get noticed.

Talking like what exactly? Telling someone they're pretty? Yeah, that's f*cking weird, man.

 

Like I said, I wasn't trying to get a woman. The compliment was simply a compliment. You guys just seemed to assume it was more than that for whatever reason.

 

Why does it matter if a person is single or not if you choose to call them pretty? How often do you give out compliments? I regularly compliment people on the way they look, especially women because I know women love to hear that sort of thing no matter how old they are and no matter the circumstances, as long as I don't say something like "goddamn you're sexy, let's f*ck!" That would make for an awkward situation, but by telling someone they're pretty it's not like I'm crossing any lines.

 

I have a friend who's been with a girl for years now and every time I go to his house I always compliment her on the way she looks. It's called being nice. Telling a female she's pretty doesn't necessarily mean you're trying to hit on her or take her from her boyfriend. It's a simple compliment. You should try it yourself once in a while.
