Ive been working on this "gta_sa.exe has encountered a error and needs to close" error within the past 36 hours straight, and im still behind it. Ive tryed absolutely everything i could find on the google: deleting that .set file in user files - dont have that file so i deleted the whole folder, but still no change "run as" then select administrator and stuff - no change using crack (even tho that i have the original DVD) - no change the "data execution prevention" fix - no change runing in win 2000/98/me/95 compability - no change changing videocard - no change changing RAM - no change installing windows xp sp1 - no change installing windows xp sp2 - no change reinstalling the game - no change ofc closing all un-necessary programs - no change uninstalling the windows update (KB917 smthing) - dont have it so i uninstalled the other ones and still no change downloading the game from 6 different places - no change updating drivers - no change anti hot coffe patch - couldnt get it on with 3 different gta_sa.exe's so i quited tryng patchfx v1.3 from gamecopyworld - no change changing some stuff by somesort of turtorial with HEX changer or smthing - no change copyng the game to c:/ or desktop or 50 different places i've allready copyed it to - no change Ive done everything i could bossibly think of or find. So i thought that maybe there still is someone around here who has fixed this error? I have run the game on my rig before without any problems, but i had to reformat due to a virus, and now im stuck here. There are no problems like this running any other games ive tryed on my rig. wich is around 40 different games. Rig: AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.81Ghz 1Gb DDR PC3200 200Mhz Sapphire tech HD 3650 512Mb Windows xp professional service pack 1/2/3. And no mods are installed. Girish Posted September 12, 2009 Share Posted September 12, 2009 Looks like you've tried almost everything that can be suggested. • Have you tried installing the game to different drives? Don't just copy it. Uninstall and reinstall. • How many different driver versions have you tried? Try all the recent most drivers one by one. • Get rid of any service pack that you might have installed and reinstall it again. surmviirus Posted September 13, 2009 Author Share Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) tryed a ton of different drivers with no luck only got 1 HDD so no other drives to install it. tryed different partition without luck as usual. tryed getting rid of other windows'es, nothing. reformated, installed sp2 with no use, reformated and installed sp3, still nothing. Just dont get it, that what is the problem. We could start a 'Swine Andreas flue' club then it seems cause i have allso the EU version and same sh*t, this started some days ago out of nowhere for me, it could have happends at your dates accually, i didnt play for a week untill trying now have reinstalled, deleted settings, nothing helps as you say now whe are two atleast, who must sitt down in the boat and whait patintley for the next patch i have version 2 of the game Edited October 24, 2009 by Kloppstock Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
surmviirus Posted October 26, 2009 Author Share Posted October 26, 2009 well, i havent played it for half a year or so... some ppl on samp wanted me back there so i thought that why not... now i got the answer for that. will be tryng the game on a new PC as soon as i get it and get sick of playng other cool games lol. would still be nice to get it to work on this PC aswell tho.
