aChaChaCha
To be honest one of the best things about saints Row 1 (Don't hurt me) was the fact the rarest car wasn't on the streets, If you wanted it you had to save and when you bought it, it felt like a achievement. Now with SR2, all cars are on the roads and you earn money like you breathe air, theres no sense of accomplishment, which I like from the first Saints Row. If there was a brand new supercar, not on the roads and unstealable (New high tech car that cant be hotwired) I would save up, buy it and it would feel special, knowing all that effort was for something. Exactly where i'm coming from right there
joe1606
I just hope we 'll get a yacht with helipad as a safehouse . Buying apartments is cool but after a moment you'll get too many of these , and in this case I think it's not fun at all . Maybe because , like Gta Vice city , you don't really feel the power of the character .It does fine with Chinatown Wars because you works to getting that power . For me , Gta 'll always tells the story of an unknown and non influential gangster .
aChaChaCha
^ Well i wasn't implying they allow a safehouse per street...I'd picture 4-5 but unlike Niko with the majority all looking pretty snazzy and like they really costed a hefty bundle. Those 4-5 not including the Club's either which i would imagine may act as somewhere to save too.
CookPassBabtridge
^Exactly, we need some serious rewards this time. Such as any one of those big mansions in Alderney, those things are the sh*t. One safehouse for each borough IMO, even Broker; I always thought it was a waste not being able to save games there after spending time exploring it at the start of IV. DrAnomalous
The Ballad of Gay Tony is gonna be a great addition to IV no doubt, but it's rich and glamorus theme isn't my favorite. The whole Ima millionaire, I own the city thing isn't my bag. That could be why none of that matters to me. Nikos story wasn't a rags to riches story and I liked that, and to me that was an evolution. All that other stuff outside of the story, gunfight, and driving mechanics don't mean jack to me. Like I said options are nice but these little distractions don't make or break a game for me.
CookPassBabtridge
Well that's fair enough man. Personally I think I still miss the VC days of huge mansions and millions in the 'bank'. It just felt like a reward, and more of a playground after the story finished. When it comes to GTA, its all about stuff to do after the missions for me, I cant be doing with all the drabness of LC much longer.

I was expecting Pegorino's lil paradise suit would be unlocked eventually what with it having functional garage doors and course since that the Pegorino ''family'' is dissolved completely Could be a gift from the Ancellotie's to Tony/Luis from all the assisance they may possibily given The whole Ima millionaire, I own the city thing isn't my bag I can imagine you musta despised San Andreas... liquidus119
You guys are going to be so disappointed. If they did add purchasable safe houses, you would complain that they all look the same. If they didn't, you'd complain that they didn't even allow you to buy regular safe houses that look the same. A few purchasable safe houses sure, but to have every piece of property labeled for sale in the city be purchasable is just absurd.
Tsar_Smirnoff
I never did care much about the interiors of the safehouses, I was always more concerned about where it was located.

Basically just acting as the more realistic notion of back in san andreas when you'd purchase property...but course with hardly as many safehouses being available. CookPassBabtridge
Liquidus, nobody said every property. Thats the opposite end of the spectrum. If there were 3 or 4 houses in different areas, then they arent going to look similar anyway. One could be an apartment, a mansion, a hotel suite etc. etc.
DrAnomalous
No I enjoyed San Andreas and Vice and have felt they continue to get better and better. I just thought that IV was able to tell an interesting story without it being the same rags to riches story and without the happy campy ending. I could very easily see that happening. But I just know there are going to be some people who complain because they couldn't own the whole city like in Saints Row 2 or some crap. Besides...with all this talk about Luis becoming the real ''Mr Bigshot'' it'll probably turn out that he ends up with the worst possible ending from all GTA... Benfolio
I just want a few safehouses so I don't have to drive/ride for 20 minutes just to save my game like TLAD with ONE stupid safehouse way in the Southwest corner of the map.
Cilogy
I would have liked the buyable car option, maybe if you buy a car it would appear and respawn outside of a safehouse all the time. If not BOGT, hopefully in GTA Next.

Tsar_Smirnoff
It would be cool if we could acquire property that generates money like in Vice City, and then we could actually use the money to buy cars, apartments, etc. One of my hang-ups with IV was that we had a sh*t ton pile of cash, but there's nothing to spend it on! I've bought nearly every article of clothing that exists in the game now and still have over a million dolllars.
W1ckeD-
I just hope we can use the Yacht as safe-house. Take off with a helicopter there or with the speed boat. Can save inside play min-games and such. Then go with the yacht to another part of the city and save there, awesome. Except that you blow up the yacht in the third mission... I know.. but there are a lot of ways.
RATEDR307
Buying apartments really why is that fun? You got a safe house you save your game and then. . . what? Chill at your newly acquired home, maybe go and shop around Liberty City for that perfect floor tile you've always wanted for the bathroom? Its not that its fun, it was just really annoying in the Lost and Damned when you only had one safehouse and it was in Alderney. Because sometimes you want to go to Broker and you have to drive all the way there, wouldn't it be much easier if you had a safehouse there so when you load you are already there? Or if your in the middle of east bumblef*ck and you wanna save your game, it's much more convenient to drive to the nearest safehouse to your location than have to drive all the way across the city to your one safehouse. Imagine if it endlessly circled the city! wont happen though, but, i agree with the topic. Be more realistic, and more immersive (is that a word lol) I think the main reason for the manual dial is CHEATS tbh. Gr8 idea tho The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. I don't doubt that this too will probably leave the player with a less than positive feeling by the end of it. I mean i personally felt pretty depressed by the end of GTA4+L&D. But i'd expect it won't quite be on par with Niko or Johnny's conclusion. Luis will definatley still have alot going for him by the end of it. Sure Niko could basically build his own dreamhouse out of dollars alone he had so much but for him that was meaningless no matter which character died in the end Luis will have some ultimatum nearing the end or at least a GTA trademark betrayal but whatever happens i'l bet he'll still have the clubs, the cash and the cars to make everything seem worth carrying on for
