Dotseoem
And speaking of Fred Mercury, I Love Queen. Bicycle! Bicycle!! Here's a little treat for pretty good topic I want this song to be in the game, but only if they add Bicycles. Body Language would also be a good song for the game. On Topic: I wonder if Luis will sing along to a particular song, like CJ did in SanAn. Would be funny if he sang a song from the Gay clubs. Niko Bellend
Well if Luis was gay I probably wouldn't buy the game. NOT because im homophobic, but because gay doesn't appeal to me. Yes this is 'The Ballad of Gay Tony' but the protagonist isn't Gay Tony. I don't have a problem with gay people, just as long as they keep to theirselves. Alot of people on these forums are taking this homophobia thing over the top. Some people don't like gay people, and that's their opinion. Some do like them, again it's their opinion. It just wouldn't make sense Not to be involved in the "Gay" lifestyle. p.s. It would be Hilarious to stage a Fake Protest against this game. You may think I'm Crazy for saying this but, I kinda Miss Jack Thompson. EDIT: I just realized, as you can tell from the cutscenes with Tony, he seems to be annoyed with it. Slamman
I think they can press the Gay element more then the Hetero one, in USA culture, as far as hot topic button pushing is concerned, however, Gay priests are in the news, and recall, God did not take kindly to this lifestyle so Gay Preist is a bit OxyMoronic! Im not saying Gay Tony isn't going to keep to himself, but he isn't going to be all over Luis is he. I mean if you would enjoy that in a game then you are obviously gay, or bi. Sure Luis might be friends with Tony, but I cant see him being in a gay lifestyle, because guess what? He isn't gay. Sure he might know a few gay people but hes not going to lead a gay lifestyle. RoxRox
f*ck, GTA players are so homophobic, lol. Typical gay GTA player: I don't normally do this gamer-type bullsh*t, but I'd like to make a statement: If you don't think gay people can be badasses, then let me and my gay gun-toting friends go against you in a real life shootout and see who wins. But it's true, Rockstar can't afford to take the risk. They would lose fans left and right. Edited September 8, 2009 by RoxRox

But it's true, Rockstar can't afford to take the risk. They would lose fans left and right. Well gay or straight wouldn't mean whether they would be a better shot or not. This is getting pretty pathetic. Certain people on these forums point the homophobic finger whenever people say they wouldn't feel comfortable playing a game as a gay person. If a person dosn't like a gay person they're not homophobic. It's not a phobia as such. Maybe if you threw up and cried when you saw a gay person then yes you would be considered homophobic. I understand im digging a bigger hole for myself, but seriously, this whole homophobia thing needs to be addressed.

Your gender and sexual preference do not predetermine your ability to function in any given situation. I would never imply that gay people could do anything better BECAUSE they are gay. Except suck dicks. But the thing is, that you also cannot rule them out from being able to do something because they're gay. Except f*ck women. Anyway... The thing about what you're saying is, being uncomfortable with gay people isn't necessarily homophobia, no, but when you go out of your way to point out the fact that you are, it's rude and unnecessary. But that's just my opinion.
Dotseoem
WOW! This topic just went THATAWAY! Let me begin: 1- All GTA players don't look like that. That's not even the average. (Maybe for FPS, but not GTA.) 2- Not Buying a Game because Luis is/might be Gay is Stoopid! Don't contradict yourself. You can't Protest against Homos and Defend them in the same post... 3- This Topic is/Was about Luis being Gay, and how it relates to his story. Not whether your comfortable with a Gay main character. Let's keep it Peaceful. (I Bet by the time I post this, it may get L ock ed) EDIT: I Guess Not. Edited September 8, 2009 by Dotseoem

But... this topic is about if Luis was gay. Sure it wouldn't mean that Luis wouldn't be a joyriding, gun blasting homicidal individual, but the fact that he would be gay might throw some people off. Not because they HATE gay people, but just because the fact that he's gay and that it wouldn't appeal to as many people just because of that. I guess society has alot to blame for people to not feel comfortable and or hate gay people, I mean in certain countries there is a death penalty for it. But anyways i don't know how this topic has ended up getting to this.

But what I meant was that(in the US) we have people like Jack Thompson who stereotype GTA players to look like that picture. Most of them probably look like under-aged Geeks. Cool guns, BTW. Well, you did say something about what GTA players looked like. Kinda relates to my post. But anyway, mnea. Subject isn't worth any more logical input. I do think it'd be pretty cool if Luis was bisexual, at the very MOST. But him being gay would negatively impact the popularity of the episode, I think. Not for me, though. I'd love it. edit @ your edit: I don't live in NYC, but I live in San Jose, California. Which is one of the most restrictive states on firearms. I remember a Quote from GTA saying something like, "If everyone had guns, no one would Shoot each other!" I can't get a real gun. Not gonna say why But I do collect Full Metal Airsoft guns. But On Topic: I know a few Gay people who play GTA, and are even better at it then me. How's that for a Stereotype. I'm Sure the Name alone will attract more Gay players to the Franchise. Slamman
Here, where I live, there was a brazen Walmart day time robbery with two men, one with baseball bat, the other with a gun! the baseball bat guy blocked the door, and the other guy fired his weapon at the ceiling! In another incident, an ex boyfriend was shot and killed at the apartment where he was violating a restraining order, he shot and killed the officer responding and wounded his back up. The man is being praised for his contributions however, and it's big news. The guy who committed the crime was a low life, with a record, swearing he would not go back to jail. And he won't However, he got a gun, and he WAS UNSTABLE, key factors that just make it so dangerous out there.

(abilene, tx. google it) recently though there's been a sh*tload of robberies. and my sister's boyfriends brother was murdered because some dudes were beating on a girl, and he said something to them, so 3 guys knocked him to the ground and one of em' shot him. plus there was a double homicide, recently. the 2 guys stabbed this couple over some money. they killed the girl first and waited for the boyfriend to get home then they killed him. the f*cked up part is the girl's cousin was one of the 2 guys. damn sometimes i hate what the world is coming to. sorry to be off-topic.
