Modified .exes are associated with piracy, if we encourage piracy we damage R* sales. If R* does not profit, it's not worth them making another GTA.

Ganja is not a drug. It's a plant... a herb and it has been so for thousands of years.

It is a drug, whether that be by scientific classification or simply colloquial/societal classification. I'm just saying that, I don't particularly care if people use it or not, it's their choice. Regardless, it doesn't matter, because who are we "looking bad" to? And why should we care? Doesn't the Hot Chick topic make us look like a bunch of chauvinistic, objectifying scumbags too?

 

As for it being bad for you, I don't think there's ever been a death directly attributed to cannabis. Saying it wrecks lives, makes you lazy and unwilling to work and a generally bad person is ridiculous, because the effects are much milder than the more widely enjoyed drug known as alcohol.

It's about how people interpret the word though. To a massive majority of the general public cannabis is a drug.

We could throw definitions at each other all day long. The medical dictionary defines 'drug' as "a chemical substance that affects the processes of the mind or body". It alters your state of mind ergo it's as much a drug as heroin, caffeine or alcohol is.

Like Robinski said, it's the interpretation of the word by some people that's the issue for me. It's just that there are people who call it a drug in order to equate it to substances like heroin, cocaine, etc.

 

I wouldn't have a problem with it being called a drug had everyone followed the meaning of the word given by the medical dictionary.

I'm not angry. I just hate half-baked stoner reasoning. When me and my friends smoked pot, we just went and f*cking smoked it. We didn't sit around debating whether it was actually a drug or a herb.

 

What sort of reasoning is that, anyway? The definition of a herb is more fitting for marijuana, so it can NOT be a drug, boy howdy! What, so just because something can be defined one way, it is then shut off from being labelled as anything else? That doesn't make any sense.

The definition you linked didn't state that it had to. Note the use of the word 'or', not 'and'.

 

Since it causes a marked change in consciousness, then I'd say it fits the definition perfectly.

 

 

Also, the claim that smoking pot isn't habituating is ridiculous. Anything can be habituating, depending on the person.

There are people who use only high CBD strains, where the THC is low enough to not cause any effects.
