What do deaf people think about?

 

Most of my thoughts include me or someone else having conversations inside my head. What about deaf people? Assuming they're deaf from birth, they probably won't know how words sound. Do they just think of pictures? When they're hungry, they imagine what they wanna eat? Or do they see and think in sign language?

 

I'm seriously curious about this.

Weird question 'ere. Do you guys hear music playing faster, when you're sleepy and tired? It feels like the music is fast forwarded a little. Yesterday night, when I was going to sleep, I listened some music. I was kinda sleepy and I heard it a lot more faster than usual. It's weird, I want to know has anyone else eer...experienced it? Or is it just a normal thing?

I love that feeling, and to be I honest I dread the moment where you turn on your iPod and it seems like your songs are going really slow, know what I mean? Sometimes, I put on my iPod while I'm falling asleep just to hear my favourite songs at a fast tempo, because in my opinion they sound much better when they're played quicker.

 

I too would like to know the answer to this question, why does this happen?! I will be eagerly anticipating answers as well.

Yeah, it happens to me to...explanation? I'm not a expert but I think there's a way to understand something of this... basic rule of psychic- if you'll listen to sound 7hz somehow (kind of nearly impossible, you gotta have some 12000 USD speakers lol) you're gonna puke, and if you'll listen to sound of loudness of 4hz, you gonna die- the sound will play at the same time with your heart, and BAM, you're a cold one. Maybe when tired, you're senses of sound hearing (lol) are f*cked up, and when hearing aprotiate sound hz you feel the music goin' faster?

Yeah, it happens to me to...explanation? Far from a scientific explanation, but I'm only going off logic. It may have something to do with your ears and its innards being more relaxed. At night and in the morning, things will seem louder and more clear than they would be in the day. I can only assume it's the same thing - the nerves and muscles that carry the sound to the ear-drum and beyond are more relaxed because you're tired, and things seem distorted as a result. I can't say I've experience the exact same as all of you, but I know what you mean - I've often heard songs differently, but I've put it down to listening to something particularly fast or slow beforehand, making the song "change" as far as my perception is concerned.

OK here's a legit question about this forums history. OK for those that might remember there use to be a member group named "Forum Moms" back in 05. Can't recall if it was one of those April fool's jokes or if it was an actual group. (Maybe I dreamed it)  

 

My question is, does this group still exists... tucked away in the private areas of the forum?

It was just a special group for Cerbera's Mum, back when this place was more of a community before the slow genocide of fun that's currently occuring as we speak began.

 

Plus the group was I believe simply Official Forum Mum, but don't take my word on that as my memory sucks.

That seems to happen to me with voices, as well. Once, I had to ask my brother what he said because all I heard him say was some indescribable gibberish.

A lot of it's probably to do with having no address. There's not a hell of a lot you can sign up for without an address, simply 'cos where are they going to deliver the forms, slips, letters etc.

Quite a bit. As they're not only paid for the shoot, but also ongoing royalties and the right to use their name as a sort of 'seal of quality'. As any other actor/performer, however, their success can only really be measured by the amount of work they do. If I had to guess? Billy Mays probably cleared over half a million per job. (considering ongoing royalties) I can't see his likeness being used for anything less than 100,000.
