Not all record labels are evil in that same light though, there are some independent record labels ran by the artists for the artists, QN5 being a prime example since it's CEO is also one of the label's biggest acts

 

For the most part though I agree with what you said, except you forgot to mention the fact that they rig nationally televised award shows so the most popular, rather than most talented artist wins the award. Then of course precedes to drop it and look even more like a talentless whore.

Certain record labels are evil, mostly the big massive ones. But hey, which massive multinational companies aren't?

 

@Rebel, should be taking my test in the next few weeks, gotta talk to my instructor now that I've passed my theory and sort it out. Shouldn't be too long before I've got my licence. Just gotta remember in my test not to do anything stupid.

And remember the questions as well that you'll be asked before you even start to drive since they count towards your final pass/fail mark. Still, if you drive really well when you are just in a lesson you'll be fine for your test. Lets hope your instructor doesn't give you a parallel park right in a horrible place. That's a really simplistic way of looking at it, and it's not entirely accurate.

 

They want to sell a product. There are costs involved in making that product, so they will provide the cash in return for a percentage of the sales. If you're not known, then no-one will buy your album, which means no sales and no return for the record label. In essence, yes, they will pay to make someone famous, but it isn't as simple as that.

Panic buying/stocking up happens everywhere, and not just when there is snow. At least where I live people buy loads of crap they don't even need whenever we get a strong wind it seems.

Happens on a small scale here, but nothing too serious from my experience. I suppose people are just so used to Kansas' incoherently random weather patterns that they've grown apathetic toward it and just shrug when a Blizzard or Tornado is coming our way.

I think you should go with something more practical, man.

assuming that almost no one around here knows whatahell it means, I see no problem

the town is already full to the brim of generically named lan-houses, and some which don't have a name at all

that's the kind of person I am: different, innovative, and crazy for GTA, of course!

They're called escorts, and they generally have both a strict code of conduct and cleanliness. They're part of organizations, usually ran by a woman known as a Madame as opposed to a Pimp. As such they cost more. Think of it as the difference between a twenty year old, used Honda Civic and a Maserati.

It could be your browser. Tried a different browser? Does this happen with all mods?

How come sometimes when I minimize from Google Chrome, then it doesn't open again, and I have to exit it? It's just there on the bar but it highights when I click on it as if it would open but it doesn't. This happens on my Vista laptop, and this laptop with Windows 7

Does anyone recommend any printer other than HP? Because I bought one recently and it broke one month after use. "Intuitive" my ass.

I've had mostly positive experience with HP printers. Try a different model, maybe? More importantly, regardless of brand, read reviews. Sometimes, a good company makes a crappy model. Sometimes a really cheap/unreliable company does something right. Go to a site like newegg.com and see how many people who bought the thing had problems with it.

1) Why does everyone hate Slamman? I think he's a nice guy, and yea I've seen alot of topics/posts from him that sometimes don't seem relevant, but why pick on the guy?

3) How come slimmer laptops are more expensive than regular laptops? My laptop only cost 500$ (its decent, though), but I've seen other laptops in my brand that cost more, but have lower specs than mine...

1) Nobody hates him. We just make fun of him.

 

3) Smaller electronics mean higher density of components. Higher density means more mistakes in production. More mistakes in production means higher fraction of finished products go DOA. That means higher costs of replacing the products. And that cost is eventually transfered back over to you.

 

4) I know a good way, but it might also involve getting vanned, so maybe you should ask someone else.
