Out of all those registered members, tons are Previous Banned Members, and a lot only come and go. I'd say about 5% are still active if not even less.

Dunno about the other questions, as for this, in the last few months, we get around a 1000 people each few hours. Multiply that with those Asian timezone users, Europeans and Americas(north/south) and you get around 3000 frequent people.

I might be wrong though.

I guess I know what you mean, and thanks.

 

It is nice to know when people recognize and appreciate when you do good stuff, even if it's something as simple as reporting obvious spam without replying to it, stuff like that.

 

But even if I had never got any kind of commendation or anything, I would still try my best to help out around the forums, because I honestly enjoy this place, and a ton of the people here, so I actually do care what goes on here, even if I don't take the negative sh*t seriously.

 

I mean, I'm in no way the "best" (relative) member here, I can be a dick sometimes, no doubt, but I'm not out to make anyone feel like sh*t, like some people.

But really, even the people here who do nothing but criticize, and ridicule others can do good deeds, but you may just never know about them.

I'm going to pose another Slamman question. Fa'real.

I'm pretty sure it is safe to say his posting style may not change, but maybe he actually learned not to repeat the offense which caused his banning. I'm not speaking on the behalf of slamman or me as a friend of slamman. I'm speaking on behalf of a regular old GTAF member - me...and I for one miss some of the nuttiness, and almost feel it is wrong to have newer members know the name but not the man.

You know how when watching an older movie or TV show when someone calls the cops to report a missing person, they usually get a response like "you have to wait 24hrs before you can report a missing person". Is that still true in today's world? Is there really a static waiting period before you can report a missing person?

I believe the purpose of that 24hrs thing was in case the person was drunk and passed out somewhere, wanted to be alone, was off cheating, or (in the case of a kid) ran away. However, I can see in today's world of serial killers and pedos why they would remove that restriction.
