I wake up every day with massive back pains in my lower back and about halfway up, sometimes it feels like it's coming from my chest or stomach a bit too. Basically my whole torso is sore inside. This has been on and off and not very common for a while, but as of late it's almost every day and I haven't changed my routines or what I eat whatsoever. I can't think of anything that might possibly bring this feeling other than the fact I drink a f*cking ridiculous amount of Coke and not much water.

 

Anyone have this/know how to fix this?

How long have you had this? you might need to see a doctor to be honest.

Yeah I mean I don't know how many times I should re-iterate this but if you have some form of pain whether emotional or physical seek MEDICAL advice, as in either a MEDICAL forum which specializes in this type of query or even better yet which is the most obvious ring or contact a DOCTOR. You know that DOCTORS are actually trained medical professionals who can more than likely diagnose and offer treatment for whatever ailment you have.

 

I'm pretty sure there is nobody on here who is actually a trained doctor (we do have a cop on here though), so it's really not a great idea to ask for advice on here.

It's very possible that the phosphoric acid in the Coke is affecting your bone density and you may be developing osteoporosis. I recommend you stop drinking Coke and drink atleast 10 glasses of water a day and get some x-rays done.

 

I'll never understand how people can continue to put this poison into their bodies, despite studies showing how bad it is for you, and this is coming from someone who used to drink loads of Coke.

May be yet another stupid question, but it's never really been something I've ever thought about until recently. How do American Networks work on English channels? Like, are we viewing the exact same programs as you are, or are we getting everything a year late and that? For example, Comedy Central Network?

 

Stupid question, but as I said it's something I've never really bothered about as I've never owned my own TV Choice.

Not sure about the UK but in Australia the networks have a hardon for "fast tracking" where new shows shown in the US are shown in Australia within the same week or so.

 

They basically try to make the new seasons of US shows line up as much as possible, otherwise people revert to piracy.

I think he's referring more to actual US networks that broadcast in other countries, rather than local networks broadcasting American programs. Like Showtime Australia, etc.

Miiiiiiiight be scoliosis, because I have it and I have constant backs pains. If I'm standing straight, you can bet your ass my back's gonna be aching and what sort of respectable man walks around slouched over? None, I tell you, so I deal with that a lot. Usually the pain doesn't have time to build up to a point where it's unbearable, because there are a lot of opportunities for relief, but it's definitely there. Usually the only time it gets really bad is when I'm walking for hours on end or sitting in a bad chair for extended periods of time without opportunity to move. My scoliosis is pretty mild and can only be seen if you're really looking for it when I'm not wearing a shirt so if you've got even milder scoliosis chances are you won't be able to see it at all. So yeah, you should probably get that checked out by a trained professional.

This might be the cause, my ex told me that my spine had a bit of a curve in it and nobody has ever told me that before..

To try and word it better. Like, on my Virgin media I have Comedy Central, so is this showing the same exact programs at the same exact time as someone watching Comedy Central in America, or are we just getting an English version of the network with series been 1 year behind?

You're not getting the same thing. The programming is the same, but the bookends and voiceovers and promotions are all done in-house in the UK. At least that would make sense.

 

There's going to be a disconnect in the tastes between US and UK viewers, naturally they'd favour shows that people would like to see.

I got what you meant, I just can't give you an answer. In general, the only things that are simulcast throughout the world are major sporting events and pay-per-views, and news channels, for obvious reasons. See, Comedy Central UK isn't the same thing as Comedy Central. While they carry the same shows, the programming will be more tailored to your particular area. A lot of research goes into it, really.

 

As for it being a year behind and this and that, there's no hard-and-fast rule in regards to all that. In Australia, I know that free-to-air/network television lags behind if pay channels have first broadcasting rights. So, for instance, Showtime's Australian channel has first dibs on broadcasting new episodes of Dexter, and can prevent Channel Ten (the free channel that carries the program) from broadcasting new episodes for a certain amount of time.

 

But nothing I say really means anything, because every company does things a different way. It varies depending on country, too. It's a very dynamic industry, one that changes all the time.

I'm not sure about Italy, or where the law stands to this day, but a relative of mine had a ton of assets seized by the government and he fled to SE Asia in the fallout from this.

 

Even when he returned with no legal action, those assets remained with the state and were sold off.

 

Also, I know it is Cracked.com, and USA-centric, but #6 is relevant.

That was an interesting read, however in Italy i'm not sure how it works and that's what I was trying to find out. Assets are regularly taken away from Drug King pins and Mafia bosses, and i'm pretty sure that the state can't just take it and not give it back without the person owning it being proved guilty. I'm not sure though, i'm trying to find out everywhere, never the less Thanks for the link, interesting read.

I Bassically take a great interest in Global Organized crime, however since I'm from Italy I pay more attention to Italian Organized crime groups and how they function. I'm not an expert on it, but I know the basics of how they operate and maybe when i'm older this sort of interest and knowledge could be continued and I could get a potential job that involves the subject. I don't know yet though. Since I'm fascinated by the topic, I realise that Italian organized criminals are obviously laundering their money through the economy, the last asset seizure was worth $200 million, it comprimised of cars, Land, football clubs, therefore I just wonder if the Media are just trying to impress the public (Which they do alot, because it looks good on paper) and I'm trying to find out whether they keep the assets, or give them back if they can't provide a reliable source against the criminals. Those arrested in Italy make big headlines, but how long are they really in jail for, if jailed at all? Bassically trying to find out if the Italian government are just making a Big deal out of nothing, since they never give us the ending results unless they actually suceed somtimes.
