catzilla
I noticed that all .ru links are changed to .moo. I think it's quite disrespectful and offensive. Can you change it back or give me (or rather, us) a valid reason as to why this is happening?
Ats.
It's because the russian spammers/hackers.
adamcs
Hackers kept posting/PM'ing malicious links with .ru extensions, so we filtered .ru as a quick fix. Next time wait for a reason before you call it "insulting", "disrespectful" and "offensive".

catzilla
Would you do the same for .com? It is still unethical.
Girish
Would you do the same for .com? It is still unethical. I'm yet to see any malicious .com or .net or any domain links other than .ru being spammed on this forum. I fail to see any logic in your comment that it's unethical. It's called forum security. Instead of blaming us, why don't you blame the handful of Russians that repeatedly try to spread these malicious links? It is because of them that you're suffering. We don't want to filter that domain but if the attacks continue, there is no other choice.
catzilla
You could at least turn it to .xx instead of .moo, you know.
Rhoda
You could at least turn it to .xx instead of .moo, you know. Yeah, but .xx is just not funny.
adamcs
What difference does it make? Anyway, the filter has been removed now. To respond to your earlier post, yes, we'd do the same for .com if we felt it was necessary. At one point we had to disable links completely. Security is our top priority, and we aren't going to sacrifice that (and risk another attack) just because one person thinks it's unethical.
