Dutchy3010
First of all, I want to say sorry to everyone who participated. It took way too long before we published the results, and I can make up excuses for it but I won't. Just hope you still enjoyed the competition! There were some trouble with the voting round, for example that there were some members with only 1 post and that was this vote. I didn't count them. There are two judges: PatrickW and I. We had to award points to every entry. The in our opinion best entry got 30 points, the second 25, the third 20, the fourth 15, the fifth 10 and the last 5. This wasn't an easy job: we don't like to chose the worst, because they were all fantastic. Therefore I want to congratulate everyone with their submission! So, here are the results: Mod Creator Points Votes Points Dutchy3010 Points PatrickW Total Brembo Cheetah 2k9 ParoXum 99 30 30 159 1991 Acura NSX myster92 103 15 20 138 Rave Jost_Vice 61 25 25 111 Commanche pinky 16 20 15 51 AP3 Cobra Pico 28 10 10 48 Rengine Burner Hegedus.Roberto 16 5 5 26 My motivation! Brembo Cheetah 2k9 (Paroxum): I absolutely love this car. The textures are very nice, the handling is very good, the model is detailed, everything fits perfectly, the wheels are nice... The only drawback is the creativity, I don't think this car is very creative in comparison to some other models. However, this car is my favourite, and will get the full 30 points! Rave (Jost_Vice): The textures are ok, but not very special. It is creative, because it isn't the car you would expect in a competition like this. It isn't really detailed, but it fits perfectly. The model is good, and the car drives very nice. I like the details, for example the license plate. That's why I award this car 25 points. Commanche (pinky): The only air vehicle of the competition, I can appreciate that! The model is good, the textures are a bit standard. Very beautiful interior! The handling wasn't perfect, that is too bad. Still good enough for, in my opinion, the third place, which gives you 20 points. Acura N SX 1991 (myster92): It is a good model, but it isn't very creative: the model looks like the "normal" infernus and the textures aren't that special either. Beautiful damage model, though! I really like that. The handling is ok too. Cobra (Pico): This car certainly is very creative, never thought about a vehicle with three wheels. The textures aren't that special, I don't really like the wheel textures. The thing I miss the most are the doors. When you get in the vehicle, the player goes "through" the doors. Next to that, I don't think the car contains many details. The handling is amazingly good! I really liked to drive this car. Rengine Burner (Hegedus.Roberto): This model isn't very detailed, and the proportions aren't good. I like the back of the car, though. It is a complete model, and it isn't a "usual" car. The handling is good. But remember: even though this is my least favourite model, I still think you are a great modeller. Once again, thank you all for your submissions. They are very good! Congratulations to ParoXum, and of course to myster92 and Jost_Vice too. The prizes will follow soon! DYOM - Create, play, share!

Dutchy3010
Laziness was hard, right? Don't judge things you don't know anything about. DYOM - Create, play, share!
CharmingCharlie
And glad it's over. Laziness was hard, right? I am sorry but that is damn disgusting someone would say that. Especially about Dutchy3010, she works her arse off on this forum. Last weekend whilst you were picking the fluff out of your navel and throwing a little tantrum Dutchy spent all weekend re-organistion 6,000 topics into their new places (took her a total of 40hrs). Now obviously this contest went on a lot longer than it should've but people have OUTSIDE lives here and in life sh*t happens. The gracious thing to do would be to thank Dutchy3010, the contestants and everyone else involved and move on. It is thanks to Dutchy3010 you now have your result. I guess showing a bit of manners and decency isn't to be expected on this forum from some people. I don't get involved in modding much as you all know. However I have enjoyed watching the contest, the entries were of the highest order and it is a shame there has to be winners and losers. Many thanks to the contestants that made the contest what it was and a big thumbs up to the modding staff that organised the contest
Girish
And glad it's over. Laziness was hard, right? Hey, don't you dare say a word against Dutchy. She was busy as hell... in the kitchen... making me a sandwich. Alright seriously, fantastic effort from the modding staff and all participants. I used to check all topics just to see how they have progressed. It was fun. Looking at these brilliant modifications make me feel sad that I'm incapable of such awesomeness. ParoXum
Thanks to anyone who voted for us and for me. I hope there's a future for competitions here. Kowah please, don't say a word against Dutchy, if this contest worked it's thanks to her, if jury's votes went right it's thanks to her, if public votes went right it's thanks to her and if it finaly ended it's also thanks to her. I wont blame the person who was really responsible of the delays here, simply because it's not the point of this topic and this topic must stay about happiness and feeling glory
Andrew
Congrats to all More then likely the delays where to do with me, and before you say anything it wasn't down to laziness. I had computer issues, and then once they were sorted and I said I'd sort things out. I never did as real life caught up with me. On Monday I start a full time work placement, so I've been busy sorting that out and wrapping up the many other projects I've had on the go. Once again I appolgoise for the huge delays in this, and hopefully the next competition will run more smoothly. Many thanks to all those who participated, and the hard work put in by Dutchy and Patrick to ensure the competition finally came to an end. Once again, sorry. Shadow-Link
No problem, we understand, computers can be really annoying sometimes. They always break when you need them . Glad you got it all sorted Let this be a lesson for the next competition, make the rules clear for all judges.
Kowaah
Oh she had holidays and stuff, i'm wrong, it was real work onto all this. Why she couldnt do it before? It turned to be more than 3 months long ''hard working''. I will not change my position, as you think i'm hater. I will not go here anymore. schaefft
Wow, I didnt expect to see another car than the NSX as first place <.< Read the your motivation stuff, not sure what textures you would like to see. The mapping of the car is effective, the textures are on pro level and couldnt be much better. Maybe its not something special if you look at it, but the quality compared to most other stuff I see in the community is. And the model is not just good, the polycount and the way he spend his tris is wonderful, very effective as well, not comparable to the others when it comes to the best as possible recreation of a vehicle. Polysteps are hardly noticeable, I think thats quite an achievement for a car with interior, engine and everything and a 15k (was it 15k tris?) polylimit. And an NSX has to look like an SA Infernus, why shouldnt it. You could say the same about every other car. Its good to see he got the second place, but if youll ask a real professional of the industry who knows how that car was built, itd look a bit different EDIT: BTW I dont want to say that the other cars are bad or something, Im sure Paroxums car has a good polylayout as well, the texture looks pretty good and everything, but Mysters car is just the better one when it comes to the effective use of the given ressources (I mean the polybudget and texture sizes lol) IMHO. coin-god
Creativity is also evaluated. Paroxum's car is more creative.
myster92
schaefft, thanks, big thanks goin-god It's sketch of Ferrari F450(or 458 Italia). I see here Paroxum's car, but his car is easier than this sketch-car. Edited September 16, 2009 by myster92
Pico
Well sh*t, I'm late on this news! Took a while to get those votes in, but glad it's done. Even though I came 2nd to last One week or however long we had to do it was damn tough. If I had one more I definitely would have been able to texture it and get it in game better (BF Injection style entrance, proper working suspension, single rear wheel, etc). Oh well, it was worth a shot. Probably the last thing I'll put in SA, is my guess.
