Mr. O
Well, I have not been on here for about a month due to I bought a new house (so moving) & I sold my RS6. I sold the car for $34,500 then gathered up any left over cash and bought a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. I paid $58k for the car, but after all the cash I gathered and put down on it I only financed $18k. The wheels that are on the car came with it, they are Gracing Tokyo, I first thought they were some sort of Z06 wheels but they look good. You like? kevin2006rhs
I am going to be driving my grandfathers 09 CTS-V once I get down to Charlotte NC later this year. I wouldn't mind having one but a used one would be more in my budget range. If you really want me to swoon over your car, give me a video of you taking it down the quarter or around a local track. You sir will be in for a treat. This is the funnest 4 door car ever made IMO. James May put it right on the dot when he tested it, The car can't be a Cadillac to fun and quick for that name. I would try to take it to a track, however, the only track around here does test and tune only on weekends. I have to work the next several weekends, the track season might be over by then. Yeah it's there about 555ish but the car has more electronics in it than best buy so that and the AC I'm sure is lowering that number. But thank you. Pico
Holy sh*t! I f*cking LOVE the new CTSs, I think it goes with out saying how I feel about the CTS-V. You are one lucky SOB Mr. O! I want your job... or at least the pay, lol. I'm over here worried about getting $3K so I can buy an early 90's sports car
Skyline35
Typical people. Choosing some common car from the streets instead of buying somethings special with that money. But it's a nice CTS.
Mr. O
Typical people. Choosing some common car from the streets instead of buying somethings special with that money. But it's a nice CTS. Trust me pal, I have had my fair share of fun and "special" cars. The car I sold to get this was an 11 second RS6, before that it was a heavily modded Lancer EVO 8. Before that it was a 97 RX7 (pos), then a 240SX with a red top SR20 swap then two Galant VR4's and two Eagle talons. in that order. It's one thing to have a modded quick car, however, it's another thing to have a stock very quick car that's under WARRANTY. And I moved to a smaller town (pop. is like 200,000 or so) I still have yet to see another CTS V roll around here But thank you. And @ Pico, if you want my job and pay go to school for mechanical engineering. It WILL pay off. Edited September 4, 2009 by Mr. O
Pico
I plan on going to school more. I could do Mechanical Engineering, I currently have an A.A.S. in Mechanical CAD and Drafting, but that's not getting me anywhere. I am working at going on to get a bachelors, but it'll probably be in Industrial Technology. Mind if I ask what your job consists of? And where? Lurch
That thing is pretty f*cking sick! What's your current garage like anyway. IIRC your wife drives one of those Audi SUV's and you have some big ford as a tow rig for your boat. Seems like a pretty awesome life you got there. Not ashamed to say I'm a bit jealous. Starion
I'm really liking the shade of red, suits the car really well. And I do love them fast Caddy's, they seem like really nice cars. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.
Lurch
Not a fan of the huge amounts of plastic under the hood. I figured gm would put some bling-bling polished aluminum under the hood to make it look less cheap.

I figured gm would put some bling-bling polished aluminum under the hood to make it look less cheap. I am gonna take all that plastic bullsh*t off, somewhere under all that sh*t is a blower I want to see it. But GM put all that plastic there because it's a Cadillac, people who usually buy these things don't want to know that there is a greasy oily dirty motor under all that molded plastic.<------- Exactly what the sales guy said. One in a junkyard is more in my price range. WOW! Nice, yeah, but for me, I always wished the classy mid-size 80s Eldorado got the improved Northstar drivetrain, the things that were missing for many years, while interiors and outward appearence caught the designer's eye. Those large 70s cars still look good but weight and handling suffer greatly, however, the huge V8s are racing favorites. I like that XLR or whatever the top of the line Cadillac goes by. There have been numerous racing attempts and I can't recall all the history there, but I remember there was something technically about those (C for Catera??) cars that the racing board did not approve of, being modified production (IIRC) set for actual racing entry

Cadillac treats the CTSV as their new flagship car even though it's not the most expensive. The CTSV runs circles around the XLR, the thing t hat I love the most is the acceleration. It is f*cking brutal the third gear pull is nuts. My RS6 was not manual so it pulled all the way through this cars has a 6 speed manual and you can feel right where it leaves the crowd behind. I'm taking the plastics off today, I will try to get pics of it up today as well.
08LasVenturas
Cadillac treats the CTSV as their new flagship car even though it's not the most expensive. The CTS is the car that saved Cadillac. Just look at the Caddys from the 90s. Only old people bought them. They took a great styling risk when they introduced it several years back, and it payed off, because they used the design on all of their current cars.
