NTAuthority 2,546 Posted September 10, 2009 EDIT: Mission: Mall Shootout Called by: ScratchCard Link: http://gtasnp.com/19475 Status: Completed Notes: Also did 'Waste the wife' EDIT II: Oops. Just noticed there were only 2 turns between my previous one and this one.. can we still continue with this save? Seeing as you did two named missions, probably not. We should go on from OrionSR's save. By the way, six hours had passed since OrionSRs turn, so it would have been right.
ScratchCard 7 Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) I thought hitman missions counted as sidemissions My bad, I'll redo Mall Shootout and then upload the save. EDIT: http://gtasnp.com/19476 I only completed 'Mall Shootout'. Edited September 10, 2009 by ScratchCard

OrionSR 1,845 Posted September 12, 2009 Well, I figured out how to detect which packages, rampages, and jumps remain to be completed on a Vice City game save, but I've got no idea how to map them the way that SAMA does for San Andreas. But just in case another chain gamer has these skills, here's a short summary: Hidden Packages: Scan for 7F 01 01, skip 3 bytes, read the next three floats for the coordinates. Rampages: Scan for 9A 01 01, skip 3 bytes, read the next three floats for the coordinates. Sorry, I'm not sure how to detect the beginning of the object/pickup block, but these strings appear to be unique. USJs: The global variables starting at $795 flag the jumps as complete if true. The global variable space starts at file offset 256, but the first variable is $2 so I've been using 248 to calculate the positions of the variables. The coordinates are hard coded. The rampages also use a global variable to flag completion - starting with $1439.

Shark_Cipriani 2 Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) I'm taking a turn , sorry it took quite a long time (I was getting into .scm coding to make a Vice City gangwar mod and I overwrote my original main.scm file accidentally ( I m a sh*tty noob at coding, eh , I dont have the habit of backing up my files properly...) (Fortunately I had my GTA Vice City CD and reinstalled. ) Mission: Sir, Yes Sir! Called by: Shark_Cipriani Link: http://gtasnp.com/20252 Status: Completed Completion: 56% Notes: I did the mission hard (not quite so with m16 anyway ) way. I shot each and every one of soldiers and jacked the tank afterwards. I haven't touched any side missions... Can any Vice City PC Version owner help us out completing this game? Shark_Cipriani 2 Posted November 18, 2009 Mission: Two Bit Hit Correct me if I am wrong but won't this cause the havana outfit glitch? (its done before copland and no escape) We may need to continue from my save if we want this chain game save to be glitch free
NTAuthority 2,546 Posted November 19, 2009 Correct me if I am wrong but won't this cause the havana outfit glitch? (its done before copland and no escape)We may need to continue from my save if we want this chain game save to be glitch free The Havana Outfit glitch is not one majorly hampering gameplay, so it's not really a problem. Shark_Cipriani 2 Posted December 31, 2009 A shameless bump by a Vice City fan. I think this topic deserves a chance to at least finish this round. Could you Vice City players that own the PC version help me out? P.S. If this is inappropriate, sorry.
