PS3 Mafiya Work Players

Hello everyone! i just joined the site to see if there are many other PS3-MW players out there because i just keep running into the same players when i go on and they keep kicking me for what seems to be scoring to many points to fast?

Or is this what the general online community is now? Getting really annoyed by it too.

Started thinking maybe i was setting up the matches to hard when i had the chance to.

i like the challenge, and i am also desperately trying to make as much money as possible!

(even playing team MW to 50,000!! as the max limit there is more than regular MW)

 

In my own little sick world, i hold my self as the best MW player,(auto aim off) but i don't think Ive ever played a REAL match, (more than 4 other players.)

 

i dont know how accurate the Rock star social club site is but going by it i am ranked in 125th place right now when it comes to ONLY MW.

 

 

Im saying all this because starting tomorrow evening im going to be playing a hell of a lot of gta until Tuesday! and i want real players/friends! just got kick by a room with a friend in it. sucks ass.

King, SJ and I play TMW. We've not actually had a game in ages tough. I'm not too keen on any of the solo game types, I prefer the team games or co-op.

OH LORD!!! no.. not him.. hes got me beat .. i mean i will at least sleep and i even played me some UFC today but that's serious lol

 

i dont mind the team modes but i keep landing on the team with the douches... i wont even bother to try to get that trophy for Fly The Co-op.

 

also anybody else thinks it best to split up for team MW? my teammates usual bash me for leaving them behind.. everyone wants to ride in the same vehicle.

IMO, splitting up is best-- cover more ground/area, perhaps teaming up for transporting something so one person can shoot and the other drive.

 

I play indvidual MW a fair amount... I'm decent at it-- I prefer AA on generally but like it set to off for MW and TMW to even out the drivers and people on foot.

 

On a weird but related note, for about a month or two ago I kept encountering the same guy online randomly in MW (Boid22)-- I remember because the first time I played with him, I was doing poorly against him and we got down to just me and him, and then I got an invite for a Co-op trophy game so left (which I rarely do in mid game)... and he PMed me giving me crap about it...

 

I have since beat him most of the time I've played him since-- I encountered him again last night on my secondary PSN account-- that is 7 or 8 times now encountered randomly-- do others re-encounter players they recall in random games???

woa pretty sweet! its taking me for ever to hit lvl 10.. i been on 9 for about a month. ill add you later when i get near my ps3 and maybe we do a hard round of mw!

Yeah 10 takes a while-- most of my money was doing the co-op missions (helping others get the co-op trophy)-- it can add up pretty fast doing these on hard.

 

I generally don't like a MW game to be too long--- playing to $7500 seems plenty long to me-- those seem to be a bit funner then the timed ones... although it sucks when you lose a close on (like I did last night)-- had a big lead and blew it.

Yes, that's a very old problem it happens when you have over 50 people on your friends list. The only way to fix it is to delete some friends.

Yeah, probably going to be running a couple of these today (Team) on PS3. Lord knows I love getting killed by Brucester and his driveby's and I can NEVER get enough of it!

 

 

Really though, this and TW are the modes where I actually worry wayyy less about killing and more about completing the tasks at hand, especially since a kill in MW/TMW nets you $100 while completing the tasks gets you a whole lot more.

Yes, that's a very old problem it happens when you have over 50 people on your friends list. The only way to fix it is to delete some friends.

I prefer no blips too its the best I ask superjude to turn them off everytime lol

 

mexican standoffs are the best

 

I also like playing individual islands. I also like putting the settings on weak weapons or melee weapons which increases the challenge 10 fold. ahh and rain too.

i like the way you think.. i never thought of putting the weapons to weak or even lower. would be funny! but i cant help but think that folks would quit so fast.

Its annoying as fook, if you have it set as disallow, people come in and immediatley leave (normally high lvls), where as lower levels tend to stick about till a fair bit into the game. AA just ruins the game mode. More standing and running than driving and shooting

I tend to have blips as Far, people tend to leave straight away if they can't see anyone else on their radar

Wish the high levels thats on the leaderboards would relise how much of a bunch of lame asses they are when its Bohan, 10k AA allow I friggin hate bohan now, far to many sh*tty games there lol

I played Mafiya Work but there's no melee weapons. However, I tried playing Mafiya Work with weapons set to Weak and Police set to on and it was very fun. I only got to play one game though. The others, most people left and this rank 9 guy too.

In regards to "quitters" I face those 75% of the time I play. Nuttin u can really do about it except organize some matches

 

Blips set to team or none is the best. I feel noobish sometimes when its set to "far" cuz the more I play the more far seems close lol

Just managed to find 3 guys yesterday thats right into their disallow TMW. All 3 are in the top 50, so yeay, finally finding some decent people.

Finding good random players is such a great thing. I pretty much stick with the crowd of regulars I play with and hope to add some randoms here and there though suddenly being alone on a team or suddenly you have a huge team vs one person does become an issue quite often.

 

Pretty much now I only play this mode with blips set to FAR or TEAM.

Couple of guys i'v saw i'v sent them a request saying that i prefer disallow and i just get dinged, which is quiet annoying (suspect one of the guys was usuing a frag controller or some sh*t, he was that dam good.) but yeah its good just seeing a group of people you've never played with / against before. And the more people i have for disallow, the more people i can get into games (whats with rebound invites )

 

Alot of people drop out when their team ain't going well, and then theres the disconnection problem. Other day i had a chopper with 3 others, came in too rough so pulled out towards the ocean to steady a bit, dc'd i feel sorry for the 3 guys, they prob woulda died.. lol

 

Yeah changing the radar always seems to make the games so much more intense. People don't tend to like team or off as much (saw people leave straight away before) but far tends to keep them in for a bit longer.

 

One thing i'v noticed though is obviously the better guys want to be in a half decent team with no nubs, but the lobby grievers love this. So heres me being the 'wanting a decent game' kind of guy so i jump out the good team and even up the other side, and then thats me stuck with a bunch of lowbies that drive in circles and most leave (prob mainly cause i just drive to the task, f*ck stopping, thats killing time.) Been often i'v played games being 1 v 3 or 4, and me going out as the winner, crazy sh*t ha ha

 

Oh SJ, instead of 10 or 20 min games, you should try 7.5k or 10k games. Tends to mean people get a bit more money, and you don't have that annoying 30 secs timer when you're trying to complete a mish

I'm like you Bruce, I don't mind jumping on a team with the n00bs just to even things out, just sucks when they refuse to play correctly (playing FM) or obviously when they all quit out.

I don't mind playing with noobs either but I prefer to play with people I know. So when the guy I know gets on the other team I usually follow him. Plus the person usually has a mic and I know what type of player he is too.

I'm a mostly casual player and I LOVE MW. I find there is no comparison to the other scenarios. It's the only one that requires you to change your strategy constantly and adapt to changing circumstances. All the others just feel like a single "mission" that goes on forever.

 

Anyway, I had a non-AA phase, but now I'm back to preferring AA on. To quote my reason for a previous post:

 

First, I prefer AA on for a few reasons:

1) It de-emphasizes the FPS factor and increases the tatical/strategic. Your placement and engagement become more relevant vs your hand/eye coordination. This isn't to say one is "better" than the other. Some people prefer having the MP be more of an FPS than a strategy game, I just prefer it be more of a strategy game than an FPS.

2) It allows for me to play the Dual Shock on a more equal playing field with enhanced controllers. I've tried other controllers with GTA4 and without question you can gain an advantage through use of autofire. But in the case of FragFX in particular, there is a greater non-autoaim advantage in precision. This isn't to say that I begrudge people for getting good controllers, I just prefer being able to play with the Dual Shock most of all and for the equipment being used to be less of an enhancement.

3) I like the RPG/Sniper Rifle balance better. Both are very powerful, but in a non-AA environment, they are much more powerful than I prefer. Again, this is just a preference thing, not a one-is-better-than-the-other thing.

 

 

To be sure, I can play with the AA off and the radar off, I just don't usually have a lot of time to play a game that stretches out too long. (It's been a lot harder to feed my video game habits when my career has been taking me through long work weeks.) Overall, I just enjoy the strategic elements of GTA over the FPS, so I lean to the former over the latter.

 

But one more kudos for MW -- I really do hope they expand on this format for the future games!

I keep AA on during Co-Op games as people tend to drop out, and I have AA disabled in my account so it doesn't matter. However, going Disallow vs AA is rough.

 

I'd have to think MW and TMW would suck with AA since half the game mode, or more, is being inside a car.

 

I think the trick is picking the right location for the right sized game. Algonquin with 2 teams of 3 is terrible, but great in Bohan. Bohan with 2 large teams just sucks and turns into TDM, etc.

Me and Bruceter pwned some clan tonight (all with mics) we had no mics. It was great, the best TMW I've played in a while.

Yeah that one v the clan was well funny. They seemed alright but not too hot. Must have been people thats played the mode before cause before it started me and King didn't tick, they wanted to kick me So presuming they've played v me before (finding alot of sh*t like that, people kicking as soon as i enter a room, or a bunch of high lvls jumping into my team. All in fun )

 

They ones last night were quite kick ass. First match 15k. We had them running in circles but then they invited someone else, next thing they done really good. There was a space of a good 5k or something and we finished with a couple of hundred more, very tight (i played sh*te in that match he he)

The host was a donkey and put to 20k for next one. We were getting humped (10k - 3k, we failed a couple of tasks.) Dj not being in our teamed decided to rpg and snipe everyone so next thing we know its 10k v 9k, most of them left so ended up being a nice easy victory. (The guy that stayed in the team walked away with 13k )

 

Some good games
