Girish
I think you're experiencing stuttering. Use the -memrestrict command as suggested in the pinned topic. And make sure your video drivers are up-to-date.
mkey82
Are you using the norestrict commandlines? If yes, don't. And definitively don't mix them with memrestrict.
D1ddLeR
No I am not using this norestrict commandlines. I've tried -memrestrict command but it didn't anything. The problem is still there. I notice that when the game is freezing for 2-3 seconds my CPU usage is 0-1% and when it come back to normal usage like 90% the freezing stops. Any suggestions? It is normal the CPU usage from 90% fall down to 0-1% usage at random time?
Girish
No, it's not normal. Have you updated your video drivers? Also, try defragging your hard drive. That might help.
D1ddLeR
Yeap my video drivers are updated and i also tried defragging my hard drive. Tho this is the only game that it is doing this to me. It was working perfect with full setting for other games like Splinter Cell: Double Agent, The Witcher, Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena, The Sims 3, Call Of Duty: World At War. So i don't think is hardware problem. Something must be wrong with GTA IV.
mkey82
Something must be wrong with GTA IV. Yes. The only way for me to fix the stalls was to reinstall the OS.
