epoxi
Hi, I don't have a PS3 or an XBOX360, but I refuse to buy an XBOX360 because I don't want to be charged for playing multiplayer on my own console, with my own internet connection, with my own game which I emptied my wallet for. Frankly, on any level I think XBOX Live is a ripoff...but of course I accept that the console itself is a competent, advanced piece of technology. However, the obvious issue here is: as well as multiplayer, I want to play BOGT too...what do I do? What do I do? What do I do!? Thanks in advance. Edit: My computer is too weak for IV. I've only played the game once at a friend's house. But still want to get as much IV as I can for my money. Enjoii
It's simple. If you really want to play the game now, then you're just going to have to buy an Xbox 360. If you think that there's a chance that it could come to other platforms, or you simply don't want to buy a 360, then you wait or just don't buy it. epoxi
buy a 360complete the game sell the 360 profit Potentially a genius idea. By the way, my computer's too weak for IV (as expected).
MitchJ90
Buy a 360. I got one cheap and I couldn't believe how good they are, so mucyh more stuff you can do than a PS3. I still love my PS3 but I prefer to you XBox these days. It has some amazing games just for the console as well. Its worth buying.
Carnage1120
buy a 360complete the game sell the 360 profit Absolute madness! Sidenote - wait for the episodes of liberty city so that you won't have to download it and you get 2 for the price of 1 and you won't need GTA4 HOORAH! blowdro420
i'll admit paying for online sucks. but LIVE is just so well put together. it's simple, organized, and well put together. besides it's only $50 a year. i know that sounds expensive for some, but i think it's pretty cheap. no disrepect to the PS3. great console. free online. blu-ray. there are more games on 360 that i myself would purchase. (gears, gtaIV dlc, etc.. no gaylo.) but i'm sure everyone purchased the system they chose for their own personal reasons. i was jealous though that MGS 4 was PS3 exclusive. although i am glad the next MGS is on both. epoxi
wait for the episodes of liberty city so that you won't have to download it and you get 2 for the price of 1 and you won't need GTA4 Yup, that was my plan. By the way, you guys who love XBOX Live, I respect your opinions, but as a matter of principle I do not think it is a good idea for me to pay for it: I am a casual gamer and will never get the full worth, plus I like how I can dig out SA:MP half a decade from its release and still play with people without having to cough up more than I would pay for a video game (I tend to buy my things used...yes: I'm cheap). DAMNIT: I just remember how much I want GT5 as well. Edited September 2, 2009 by epoxi

NETFREAKINFLIX yeah netflix is pretty awesome. but you have to pay for that separately. luckily my mom has had it for sometime now. i just use her email address. well since the update, i don't need to as you can add instant movies from the xbox now. epoxi
lol you pay 60 bucks for a game but 3 $/€ a month is too much for you to have loads of fun? Tell me, as a casual gamer who may not use the console for long intervals...what is that money doing for me if I choose to give it to Microsoft? I don't know what makes XBOX Live so great, but the fact of the matter is: all I want is to play games online and the PS3 would give me that simple function for free. Also, as I have said: I don't pay $60 for a game...I buy them used because it's the same thing once you put it in your CD tray.
d0mm2k8
As a owner of both consoles, I have to say, XBL is alot better than PSN. The thing is, no matter how good it is, it isn't worth any amount of money. Eventually PSN will catch up to XBL and it will be free. Bam. XBL will have to be free then But I prefer PSN at the moment because it's free.
EnchantedX360
You man up and buy a 360, the worlds greatest gaming console which is marketed as a gaming console and not a Blu-ray player. Buy Episodes from Liberty City which does not require you to pay $4 a month for Live Gold. If you can't justify $4 a month but spend more on food a day, then I guess your priorities are different than mine as a gamer. Oh, you can do something else: Go pleed to R* to port the games to PC/PS3, I hope you're a patient person though. OysterBarron
new consoles are £160+ My advice if you dont want to break the bank and your not going to own one long term is goto gamestation they have consoles for just over £100 preowned get GTAIV or the Liberty city episodes disk and only buy 3 months of xboxlive gold I wouldnt have thought that would cost more than £160 in total thats the best solution i can give you

Cilogy
However, the obvious issue here is: as well as multiplayer, I want to play BOGT too...what do I do?What do I do? What do I do!? Simple, shut up and buy an Xbox, or continue to loathe yourself if you're so desperate to play TBOGT. The advantages in having an Xbox are innumerable. It is definitely worth paying the money for Live because of its expansive features. The Xbox has an advantage with playing DVDs; the PS3 is primarily a bluray player and even though it plays DVDs it still plays them in lower quality than the 360 does, which is why it looks like your playing a N64 game on an analog TV when you play a PS2 game on a PS3. You have the ability to watch and download movies, full on games, DLC's, music, and other bullsh*t you probably won't need but its fun to look at. You can hook up the 360 to a computer and run Windows Media Center through it to the TV. You can also have access to many 360 exclusive games. If you have a Netflix account, you can watch a sh*tload of Netflix movies on the 360. Suck it up and play. Edit: My computer is too weak for IV. I've only played the game once at a friend's house. But still want to get as much IV as I can for my money. Then you have quite a deal on your hands, because you can still buy the 360 for a cheap price and still be able to play TBOGT. If it is so, then I bet by the time the DLCs come to the PS3 or the PC, we would already have an ample amount of information on the next GTA game or even have the game released for all we know. Punk-in-Drublic
What do I do!? You could just buy an xbox 360, that would be the obvious option. If you want to play multiplayer you can start by stopping being a cheap skate and pay a mere £40 for one year, which is roughly £3 per month. Okay, I've heard this sooo many times but never knew why exactly Xbox Live is so great, people just say it is and go no further... Someone enlighten me. you are paying for the dedicated servers that xbox uses witch will garantee you very good download rates and pretty much lagless games as long as your downstream is 300KBS +. if the system does go down by mistake witch has only happened once in the 2 years i have been paying for xbox live then they have been known to give away games for free as compensation, something that playstation 3 wont offer if your normal internet goes down.
