Vercetti27
Has anyone bettered my time of 174 seconds? I assume plenty as I made a couple of mistakes but still won by a good margin

FearTheLiving
I just replayed GTA III to get 100% and I got 162, not the greatest but I was just trying to get it over with not to get the best time or anything.
Heihachi_73
Can't be that hard, I did this last November. In a Flatbed. I have also completed Turismo in 175 seconds with a Landstalker (June 26 2007). Someone should put up a records page, but add records for each type of vehicle! Edit: Thought this was the other 'help' topic. Edit 2: 08 Sep 2009, why not! That was f#$%ing hard, it was between 1st and 3rd right to Punk Noodles at the end! It took 6 attempts and skilful placement of a Trashmaster to slow the opponents. I parked a garbage truck right near the scaffolding near the safe house just before where you turn. Strangely though, two cars flipped their wheels when I went past, but they somehow managed to turn over (or respawn) and come back again, and flew past me up the hill to Saint Mark's. 201 seconds with a Mr. Whoopee ice cream van! It burst into flames when I hit the wall right in front of it (I had my hands off the controls to hit PrtSc). That van is also like a really slow BF Injection, it does a complete 180° when you hit a car even at low speed! Edit 3: 10 Sep 2009, 155 seconds with a Taxi. Heihachi_73
Bump. Some more records with various cars. September 10 2009: 147 seconds with a Police car 168 seconds with a Yankee 176 seconds with a Manana All of my times are done on a save prior to the Mafia hating me. The Triads still shoot however, but their weak 9mm pistols don't pose much of a threat even with a slow vehicle. It's mainly the Cheetahs to contend with, as they will effortlessly fly past something like a Moonbeam or other crappy car; if they get in front and there's no previously parked obstacles (large trucks) they always win at around 170 seconds. Random cars only spawn around your vehicle of course.
XXI Inc
I can't remember but I'm completing the game again and I'll post my time here too.
Heihachi_73
I will be trying to get a Bus into the records a bit later, if possible. After that, I might try my luck with a Trashmaster, but I don't think I'll be able to get anywhere in it! Edit: I lied, couldn't find one at the time. A Bus will eventually appear though. 189 seconds with a Coach Edited September 12, 2009 by Heihachi_73
XXI Inc
Good time but how can we know that you didn't change the handling of the bus to be able to get that time?
Heihachi_73
It's a stock install and will not be touched as I deliberately installed it as the first item on the games drive so it wouldn't get fragmented, as GTA3 is a terrible game for that. That thing handles like absolute crap and required the handbrake on just about anything sharper than 10 degrees, only to find that the handbrake stops the bus in its tracks unlike the fire truck! If you still don't believe the PC screenshots I'll get out the PS2, of which I don't have a mod chip or a cheat disc. That will require me to go through a few missions though since I only have a 90-odd percent game, as I unknowingly locked out a few of Kenji's missions. If you want I could always get out my modded version which has OnePiece's HD cars, modified handling and a few vehicles swapped around in default.ide (e.g. it spawns Mr Whoopee vans and Buses instead of Police cars and Enforcers). The only 'cheat' I actually do in Turismo is park a large vehicle near the scaffolding up the hill near the safe house where you turn left, which always takes out the three CPU Cheetahs at that point as they crash and one turns into the 'hole' in the wall, the second Cheetah blocks off the path so they can't pass the truck/bus easily at all and the third is usually behind the first one and stuck to the wall as well. That's how I get all of the slow vehicles in without losing. I'm not confident at all about the Dodo though.
