I haven't had proper nightmares since I was a little kid.

 

I had a dream once where I was in the middle of a field and theres loads of syringes scattered all over ground. I turn around in a circle and they're all over the floor. Im completely surrounded by them.

 

And this is a kind of nightmare I had a few years ago. I dreamt that my cat ran out in front of a car and got killed.

I had a dream last night where I was in my mate's car with a few other friends and he dropped off a cliff into the sea going along some winding country road. It was a very Mediterranean landscape, not England. Not so much a nightmare, despite us all beginning to drown. I was feeling pretty cheery and really elated in my dream for some reason. I could feel the weightlessness as we tumbled through the air and the impact of the water, then we were laughing trying to figure out how to open the window or doors. Can't remember how it ended.

 

I then even dreamed about waking up and telling someone about the dream.

Worst I've had yet was being in our library (5 stories high) and having terrorists invade. they set up bombs, and each begins once at at a time. I woke up with a tear on my face. Super Scary

Damn Minnieman, that sounds scary as hell. You sure it wasn't a night-terror? They're like nightmares, but sometimes they have physical effects on your body, like you mentioned. Sometimes you might actually scream out loud, but still be asleep, and it be like practically impossible to wake you up.

Im sorry but all these violent dreams dont really strike me as being that bad.

Even when I have them its not that frightening.

 

No... as with horror movies the true horror is the weird ass freaky sh*t (Seriously The grudge is scarier than Scream or nightmare on elm street anyday).

 

I have a slightly recurring dream (changes ever so slightly though) which has me nailed to a christian cross in an industrial wasteground. I have a feeling of almost complete Euphoria followed by an epic comedown. It skips forward a bit and I'm embedded in the floor of a large Monastery staring up at the ceiling whilst it shimmers and changes colours and next thing I know I can hear breathing behind me and I feel as if somebodies leering over me threateningly although nobodys there. Next thing I know Im seeing my downstairs living room from as a little kid but large metallic machinery has taken the place of the furniture and all I can hear is a distinct clicking (though not from the machinery). The worst part though is when Im lying limp and lifeless in a field yet I have my senses nd the sky is changing vivid colors. Somehow Im having vivid conversations with a nether being (God?).

 

It kinda ends there but its so weird. Like just the feeling euphoria and everlasting delight. Like touching heaven but just being sucked back down to hell again and realising your on your own. Last time i had this dream Im not ashamed to admit I woke up crying

hell, right now I remember of a nightmare I had a while ago:

I was walking in a dark alley, then a dude came from a dark spot and stabbed me to death in my head, then after that, 2 dectetives were investigating my death, like in CSI. lol

Last Night : I had a Nightmare that there was a War in our country, and somehow some parts of my nightmare i can't really remember, i Still remember the Climax

 

"I was just walking around the block of the street of cousin's house then the Soldiers were going to hunt down the priest (but somehow i feel somthing was important with the priest so i told him to come with me to my cousins house and HURRY! and so we made it and he hid in a room then went in , soon the Soldiers went in and was asking where is the priest, all of us in the house were Quiet, the i woke up."

 

IMPORTANT NOTES: I had A similar dream weeks ago with the same location (my cousins house and block) however the house was'nt my cousins yet, it was just going to be bought by our cousin , but there was already a war that time in that dream.

The only nightmares I seem to have are ones of my house being haunted by some kind of poltergeist or something. I have them all the time, and I don't know why. There again, I don't think it helps watching ghost hunting programs right before bed.

that's why I always thought that scary movies should be played (TV) at daytime, bcoz if you sleep soon after watching the movie, it's nasty things will be fresh in your memory and will most likely to haunt you in your dreams

I once had a dream where time stopped but we didn't i thought this would be a good thing but it wasn't. People started going crazy and setting fires and on some occasions wielding knives in the street like madmen.

 

Kinda reminds me what it is like living in Glasgow again. Na not really but seriously this dream was weird as i didn't appear in the dream but i watched like i was directing it or something last i remember was a school bus blowing up killing loads of innocent children and bystanders.

 

F*@%ed up i know but when i woke up i felt like god as if i had made all this happen. It wasn't exactly a nightmare but i never knew what happened next in the dream all i can remember is some woman calling for help as she tried to pull what i think was here husband from a mashed up car that was on fire. One of the most spooky things about the dream was that i heard a voice narrating everything that happened in the dream as it happened.

sorry for the big bump, but...

Today I had the scariest dream of my life:

I was in my school, it was around 5:00/5:30 (sunset), but the classroom was a bit unusual, there was a big glass panel window to the left.

anyway, there was what it seemed to be a music class (there's no kind of class in my school) with our chemistry teacher, there was a discussion about music, I was ready to pull out one of my sarcastic gags, when I noticed the girls were all aglomerating in front of the glass window, I checked it out so I saw a big but far, far, far away mushroom shaped cloud on the horizon, as we're looking at it, it started expanding, then it expanded in a very fast speed, converted into shockwaves and an explosion, it came onto us, in a incredible velocity, a big flash of light, then when the expanding fireball was coming close, I woke up.

hell, that creeped the sh*t out of me, and I'm not the the kind of guy that get scared easily.

And the nuclear explosion was so weird and realistic at the same time....

Dying in space, its quick but it would be the worst experience of your life, your blood would immediatly boil, the side of you facing the sun would be cooked while the side of you facing away from the sun would be completely frozen, Imagine one side of you being on fire and the other part being frozen in liquid nitrogen while your blood boils.

Worst nightmare I've actually had was when I was in holiday in Corfu with ym family and a friend. Now, I have a phobia or frogs, I have no idea why but I seriously sh*t bricks when I so much as see one in person (pictures and the like dont bother me). Anyway, Corfu had the biggest frogs/toads I've ever seen, like seriously the size of my shoe if not bigger. A few nights after arriving I got paranoid thinking they were on our balcony as one had been on our stairs in the day and the dream was that there were frogs all over my room and crawling over my bed. I woke up in a massive, silent panic, and wasn't sure if I'd been dreaming or not. I lay motionless until morning and I could see that the room was frog free.

 

You can call me a fa**ot or a pussy or whatever about my fear of frogs, it's just my thing I seriously cannot stand them. I think I saw someone else on here post about a similar phobia before...

 

My worst nightmare, in a sense of what my biggest fear would be developing some mental illness such as dementia or schizophrenia and not being in control or unaware of my surroundings. Or even worse would be to be in my normal mind trapped in a disabled body or not in control of my body, much like that guy supposedly in a coma for so many years.

I have a f*cked up Jaw in real life where I get cramps all the time, but these jaw related dreams I have are ten times as worse. I've been having them for months now.

I had the most terrible dream you could ever imagine. It's a pretty old one, but I still remember it very good.

 

I'm walking in the desert, and I see my mom. She comes to me, and changes into some kinda rat-zombie. So I'm scared as hell, but she changed back to normal. And she comes to me again, and changes again. Then she tried to eat me! So I cut the rat-zombie in little pieces, but then it changed back to my mom, and she was still in pieces on the ground!

I had a dream a couple of days ago where I was on these forums and asked to get banned as a joke like that Mod a few days ago, and then I got banned and was so mad because I couldnt log in to say I was joking to a mod and come back.

I often have dreams where I'm being chased, and I wake up with my heart beating like I was actually running. Not really a nightmare as such, but sometimes I have dreams where I feel like I'm actually in danger.

Just remembered a dream I had when I was about 15, maybe 16, and to contradict myself earlier, it's easily the creepiest and scariest dream I've ever had. I was paranoid for weeks and I seriously can't believe I forgot it when writing my previous post.

 

At first it seemed like a series of normal dreams, with just normal real life situations going about normal activities. But something was wrong. It wasn't easily identifiable but there was definitely something wrong, as if I were under constant surveillance by a malevolent force. So, yeah it was a series of normal everyday things: playing football, going to the shops, walking to school etc but with an air of dread overshadowing everything.This was until I found myself in some forest clearing in a makeshift camp with my friends around a fire. It was a grey evening. We were definitely being watched, but nobody else seemed to feel it but me. Then I saw it.

 

On the edge of the treeline he stood. An unnaturally tall, slender man dressed in a business suit stood a few feet into the brush. He stood about 8 feet tallk in this suit, his emaciated figure topped by a smooth featureless face; no mouth, no eyes noe nose or anything. Somehow, he was watching.

 

He stood watching, completely still. I told my friends in a strangely calm manner, but they ignored me. Not just ignored, it was if I wasn't there. Turning back to the figure he was closer, now in front of the trees. I could now see that along with his unnatural height, slender limbs and blank face he did not have arms or indeed a suit. His arms were in fact writhing tentacles like branches of wood and the suit was actually his body, emblazoned on the slowly pulsating tendrils reaching from his shoulders. Then, the screaming started. It wasn't him screaming, at least not audibly. He caused the scream, but it was only in my head, building pressure until it felt like my head itself would explode. I lay on the ground, reduced to a babbling crying state, while he watched. While my friends ignored me. Only I could see him.

 

I must have then blacked out in the dream, as I woke up a few hours later in a cold sweat and an overwhelming sense of fear and dread. Everywhere I went for the next few weeks I could feel him watching. He was the reason I couldn't walk through the park, why I hesitated to open a door into a dark room, why I was constantly playing music any time I was alone. I was scared. He was coming.

Nope, never heard of it before you mentioned it. I wasn't aware of Ben Croshaw (Yahtzee) actually making anything, just the reviews. There is an uncanny resemblance however, if you mean this guy. I just did a google search and that is who I assume you meant. The main difference is that the slender man in my dream wore a formal business suit, which seemed to actually be his skin rather than clothes. It was the suit that gave him such an unnerving appearance at first, seeing as this happened in the middle of a forest.

I also have those dreams of being chased. Their not really nightmares, but they are scary-ish none-the-less.

 

I'm always being chased by either a Rhino, Lion or an Elephant, and I'm nearly always being chased around my housing estate where I live. What's even more frustrating is the fact that I can't run... Damn bed sheets.

I don't really have many nightmares; but my most recent one was:

 

Me and my mum were sitting down at my house at Halloween. We were watching the news and it said that people dressed up scarily were going around knocking on peoples doors and torturing them. Then we get a knock at the door, we scream and I wake up. Doesn't sound too bad; but on the news in the dream we got a glimpse of the killers and they looked really scary.

Holy sh*t, i had one just like this once, but i was on my own in my room, dunno what i was doing, then i heard something, got up and looekd out of my window and there was some huge mushroom cloud, and it got taller then everything went white with some loud bang and i woke up to my neighbors putting up a f*cking shelf.

I had one like this too, my and my mates used to go into the forest and build dirt ramps to go over on our bikes, and in my dream we were doing this, then some guy in a suit, not that tall was looking over a wall that was someones garden backing into the forest, he was just looking but i carried on, i look up again and hes a few meters away next to a tree staring at me, i looked around to tell my friends but they were gone and so were their bikes. then i woke up.
