What does this mean for achievements?

I am not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but I am wondering how the achievements are going to work if some of us, including myself, decide to buy the Episodes of Liberty City bundle. Will it be a seperate game, or will it sync up with GTA IV's achievements?

They will have to be standalone for those that buy/play EFLC without owning IV.

They can add more of them. Should be 1000 points if its a standalone disc.

I don't know of any official information, but I suppose the simplest thing to do would be to have only the additional achievements from the DLC recognised by EFLC. So you play the GTAIV disc for the original 1000 points and you play the EFLC disc for the other 500 points (250 per episode).

 

I'm undecided whether, if you've already downloaded TLAD and got the achievements, it's more likely that you can earn these same achievements again by playing the disc version.

 

To be honest, I wouldn't be bothered whether it does or not. If it only lets you earn them once then that's fine as I've already personally achieved these set goals. If it let's you get extra points by doing the same achievements twice, then that's fine too as I'm still having to earn them.

 

I suppose the only way this could be considered unfair or "cheating" is if there was a way to copy your save file from one version to the other which would automatically give you all the points again without having to replay it.
