Who's to say that we can actually customise cars, perhaps these cars with NOS and sideskirts.etc. are actually one-of-a-type cars, much like the way its very difficult to find infernus' before Florian gives you one. Obviously, once we have the car, we can use it to spawn others, but apart from that maybe these cars haven't been customised but look like that.

 

Despite that I think there is customisation as at 0:17 you see a 4x4 with a pearlescent purple paintjob - this isn't in vanilla or TLAD and while it isn't a new car, it is a new paintjob.

yeah but the flames that come out the infernus, sultan rs... etc maybe last a millisecond

the flames in the trailer is much longer and it sounds like nos.

There was cars in IV with spoilers on modded bonnets etc but you could not mod them,seems they`ll just be part of it.

I'd be happy with an option to pick a color for now but I've always been a fan of car mods. Kinda funny that it's so popular now, when car mods were announced for sanan a ton of people thought is was a bad idea. Some BS about go play NFS instead always pissed me off. It wasn't the most complex form of modding but getting to change rims and pick a custom color felt nice.

i don't think there are any mod shops, although i'm not R* so i don't know for certain. but my guess is they are just nice, in-game cars.

we just don't know if it comes already in the car, if you can go customize and get it, or if there's a version with and a version without.

(although i doubt the latter, because if you didn't have it in your car, i figure R* would at least add a mod shop so you could get it.)

Do people really think that a car that is VAGUELY similar to an existing car in the game is so because of mods? Really? What do you really think is more likely, a car that is nearly 100% customizable (bumpers, skirts, headlights, tailights, rims, tires, door handles, side vents, hood shape, window frames, etc) or that is it a DIFFERENT car that uses a SIMILAR body frame.

I'm not getting my hopes up just for them to be shot down on release. I really want car customization a lot but the likeliness of that is very slim. Also with the car, like I said before, I think it is a new car either in the sense that it is totally different or it is a unique version of the Super GT that is Pre-modified. Possible one of the characters cars or something.

There is a sh*tload of vehicles in IV with special lustered paintjobs. That isn't any proof for anything. Go check out the special vehicle faq on Gamefaqs. You'll get a list that just keeps going on.

not just the rims making low rider cars into proper beasts of low rider cars, also whats the chances of them adding a wheel arch angels again and you can only mod a few of the cars there, to make them high performance.

I say don't get your hopes up.  I think it's just an altered Super GT, like the Sultan RS is to the Sultan.  Nitro is probably specific to that car like turbo is specific to the Sultan RS.  Just don't get your hopes up, I fear that there will be a wave of disappointment once the game comes out.  People are expecting too much and reading into things.

Unless where you're from "altered" means "major redesign of the bodywork in a way which suggests it is completely unmodified and perhaps only shares it's chassis platform with the other car". Look at the taillights. look at the front. anyone who can do that to a car must be a f*cking genius with bodywork fabrication. No car manufacturer would offer trim levels THAT different, because they would differ on the body shell level. very few people could afford to have work like that done, and if they did, it would surely only be a show car. If that is a modified super gt then it makes no sense whatsoever.

 

If it happens to be a replacement model however, that would make sense.

You clearly know nothing of the "British Boy Racer", plus R* North being British they would definatly know about Modding cars like that.

Yeah I wouldn't wanna get myself too hyped up. The only thing I can definitely look forward to with confidence is the story and the addition of new weapons and vehicles.

Yes, its possible, but there is no REASON to think that? What proof (or even suggestion) has there been of car modding? The ONLY thing it came from were this new Yellow car and the flames coming from it's exhaust. It's Occam's Razor - the simplest answer is usually the right one. If it looks like an orange and smells like an orange... it's probably an orange, not some lemon dressed up as an orange.

 

This isn't a thread "hoping" to see car modifications, it's supposedly "proof" of car modification when there is clearly not even any suggestions to the fact, let alone proof. This thread was started on mis-identification. Now someone, please either change the topic title or lock this.

Why?

 

The flames do look excessive more than the normal backfire you see in cars like the Banshee and the Sultan. As long as people realize this is nothing more than speculation I think it's ok and just in fun until it's proven right or wrong. I now alot of people get over excited but thats gotta be on them.
