CHOOKOKABRA
will there be a ps3 release? You'll be a old man before you see TBOGT for PS3. Seriously, no you wont, ever. No ifs ands or buts about it.

gamefarter
It would take something like this to lift a subway carriage If you notice the box art chopper, it too has wheels, and what appears to be a trap door, so I think it's safe to assume that that is the chopper that will lift the boxcar, and not the maverick. Do most cargo lifters have wheels? And can anyone find a real life counterpart to the box art chopper? Sorry for rambling.

KGBeast
I'm no weapons expert, but that looks a lot like the AA-12 shotgun to me;http://www.combat.ws/S4/MILTERMS/IMAGES/AA12GUN.JPG A Skyhook chopper airlifts the freed subway car away. Sounds pretty interesting. Exactly, explosive shotgun, just like that report on that German site said there would be...hmmm.
Enjoii
Exactly, explosive shotgun, just like that report on that German site said there would be...hmmm. The AA12 isn't really an 'explosive shotgun'. It can use explosive rounds, but the listing on that website is pretty vague. However I'd love to see explosive rounds, it would make for some great fun. Rhoda
I'm not too bothered about guns so much yet; aside from the fact I'll be playing this on a disc, we don't really have all that much to go on apart from a picture and knowledge of guns. Aesthetics sway very little with weaponry, a lot of it looks the same. We'll soon see just how good or bad it is. In regards to the new information from the article, something did pique my interest: In another scene, Luis drops on to the top of a moving subway train from a bridge and unhooks one of the cars for a maniacal high-rolling collector of one-of-a-kind artifacts. A Skyhook chopper airlifts the freed subway car away. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in IV, physics didn't allow us to even stand on the subway trains, let alone walk on them. If such a system has been implemented, just what else do you think we'll be able to do if Rockstar themselves are labeling this an epic, explosive episode? I think it got f*cked up in the translation, explosive could be an attempt to describe its rate of fire, although if the AA-12 has Frag-12(explosive) shotgun shells I will be happy and the police will be nonexistent. However, I have a feeling that it will only be available for one or two select missions rather than being available permanently. This episode is shaping up to be amazing though, they're really going all out with new features like this & the parachutes. And I'm sure that there is still a lot more to come. Wouldn't it be harder to implement it for select missions rather than keeping it open constantly? I know nothing about programming physics but that just sounds like extra work. Sounds like all kinds of problems could arise.

However, based on past features of IV that have only happened for one mission I wouldn't rule it out. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see these features available permanently, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of them only being available for a single mission. Yeah, I hear you. I just keep thinking of the infamous magnet helicopter in San Andreas. Positive mental attitude though.
JOSEPH X
The AA-12 fires explosive rounds like this one The chopper on the box art is a Bell222/Augusta109, both of which would be unable to lift a subway carriage. The reporter from USA Today said a skyhook helicopter, which is much bigger.

Sounds like all kinds of problems could arise. It's more of an AI thing really; placing a walk cycle path on top of a train and setting up obstacles etc. It would take more programming to have it a constant feature, if it's part of a cutscene or mission then R* can confine it all. Sounds like a lot more fun that TLAD and maybe even IV, Im just not expecting much outside of cutscenes and scripted events. To be on the safe side anyway. liquidus119
So basically this is what we have all gathered. - The AA12 is either going to be a re-skinned Street Sweeper, or the so called "explosive shotgun". - The ability to run along train cars will probably only be available for a single mission, and the helicopter that takes it is probably not what is shown in the box art. - This is going to be the most awesome thing this year. Rhoda
What stuck out for me was Tony's Drug Problem This is quite interesting as it will no doubt make for a compelling story. Indeed, I have visions of getting urgent phone calls from Tony, asking to pick something up immediately. It'd make for more tense missions I think, though it may get as annoying as the drug courier missions you receive in San Andreas. I have fond memories of hunting down dealers on off-road motorcycles, but after the first few times it just got boring.

trooper
Kinda hard to believe they won't release anymore DLC. I would think R* would like to see how much $ they could get having it on bothe Systems. As for the people complaining about the AA-12 being 'another shotgun' dude this isn't just a shot gun, this will destroy. Seriously if you want to have a boring regular shotgun the play Niko. I would think R* would like to see how much $ they could get having it on bothe Systems. Don't forget that GTA IV will be two years old this April, and I think by then the interest in both DLC episodes will still be fresh, with players still discovering something new and pleasurable. I think this time next year we'll already be hearing a little news on what's new for the GTA universe.

Rhoda
Is it only me or does Luis look a bit different on that screenshot compared to his appearance in GTA IV? Slightly, but didn't Johnny look relatively different from when we first saw him? Besides, the shots we've seen may well be beta shots, much like those we first saw of Niko.
