It has been CUSTOMISED... It's really not hard to see that. You're kidding right? You ought to have your eyes checked if you think that's a Super GT. The whole shape of the car is different, and no, I'm not talking about the so called "customised" bumpers and side skirts. Edit: The headlights and taillights and whole REAR END are different. No way that's customisable. If R* were to add mods that in-depth for almost every car, the expansion would be massive, and have no room for the story. Also, say they had more than one choice per part, which if there is car modification would be necessary, if almost every car was customisable, they would have to remake hundreds of cars at least 2 or 3 times. I mean it does look similar, and maybe R* even started with the Super GT as a base when they designed it, but as cool as it would be, I doubt that we'll be able to mod cars in this game. Either way I'm happy as we will definitely get either a Maserati based car or we'll get the ability to modify vehicles. edit: Then again it could just be like the difference between a regular Huntley and the gang Huntley... where it is different, but we don't have the ability to make the changes ourselves. Cilogy Posted September 1, 2009 Share Posted September 1, 2009 Ok I'm turning this into a debate with pictures and evidence, and you can't stop me. If you don't like it, get over it. This is my argument. Compare: A few things first. The Aston Martin and the Maserati auto companies have very similar models, so its easy to confuse them sometimes. I'll be referring to the following cars as the Maserati (yellow) and the Super GT (red), because it is clear they are completely different vehicles. I'll obviously take into consideration the theory that we have the ability to customize cars in this game. Notice, even if we have a car mod shop: 1. The doorhandles are different. I doubt that Rockstar would allow us to customize doohandles. 2. The grill on the Maserati is obviously concave and taller while the Super GT's grill is shorter and possibly convex. Its possible this could be because of modding. 3. The Maserati has two bulbs in each headlight, whereas the Super GT has only one in each. That doesn't make sense to mod, as it would require a different hood and bumper design for each pair of headlights if the new car is actually just a modded Super GT. 4. In that same vein, the Maserati has two bumper floodlights; the Super GT does not. This is also something that can possibly be modded. 5. The back wheels on the Maserati appear to be farther away from the door than that of the Super GT. That's not something that can be easily modded in a car mod shop. In conclusion, the hindrances to modding a Super GT to make it look like the car in the trailer outweigh the abilities to mod it, as people speculate. In other words, it makes much more sense to say they are two different cars than saying that the new car is just the Super GT with mods; because these mods are impossible to make on the Super GT. GTA, as we all know, is notorious for making two or more cars very similar in appearance. For example, take the Faction and the Sabre in IV, or the Premier and the Elegant in SA. Your move. Imagine if they put it in free mode and you can pick up a BUS with it?? while someone is driving the bus they'll be confused like "WTF IS GOING ON???" and then you just dump them in the ocean or something. No. Take some lessons of comprehension skills while you re-learn how to read. I wrote it was similar, nowhere near implying that it looks like a modded GT. I posted comparison photos between the Super GT (Aston Martin Vanquish) and the new car (Maserati/Jaguar XKR) RIGHT after the trailer was release (look at the bottom of the 4th page). Enough already, it's a new car. There really isn't ANYTHING in the trailer to suggest car modding. The "flames" coming out of the exhaust of the NEW car could simply be standard (like the Sultan RS). I couldn't really imagine seeing the Caddy outside the golf course, and if somebody did get it out it would probably mean plowing through people on the sidewalk. Yeah, that's the driving range (On the West Coast of Algonquin), I was thinking of an actually golf course. HOWEVER, the golf cart does appear to be in that driving range, so I hope I'm wrong. Most likely it will be a return of that, possibly as a medical or commercial chopper. Either way, it's not a maverick, and doesn't resemble the other two new choppers in the trailer whatsoever.
