A final bit of help with a savegame..

Hello all,

I don't know if you remember, but a few days ago I posted a topic pleading for help, asking if there were any more ways to get my GTAIV working without abhorrent fps.

I managed to find a way, by cheating and using a different laptop, which was better suited, and it now runs at a copable-with speed.

My last issue is this.

At the moment, I'm not particularly in the mood to play my way through the very detailed missions in the main storyline, instead I just want some recreational gaming, very much achievable in GTAIV through simply joyriding and running over pedestrians.

My plan was to use a 100% complete savegame to skip to the end, so I would have as much as the game could offer to 'play' with.

I followed as many steps as I could, lamenting that it is no longer as simple as just copying over one file, and instead have royally buggered up my game.

What I need is as follows, and thankyou in advance for providing it..

I am currently reinstalling GTAIV from scratch, so when it *finally* finishes, I will have an unmodded, unpatched, factory fresh game.

Could you give me a detailed, yet set up for idiots like me, list of EXACTLY what I need to do to play with a 100% savegame. If so that would be fantastic.

If a thread already exists for such a purpose, please link me to it, although I think I found most of em in my search, and misinterpreted their advice, leading to a game that won't run, instead displaying something about an error with the Licence.

Sorry for the epic length of my post, I really need to learn to shorten them a bit.

*for those who can't be arsed reading all of that* - Need foolproof steps to loading 100% save on fresh copy of GTA4, kthxbye

Cheers,

All you had to do was use the search function. There have been countless number of topics for this. Not to mention, you posted this in the wrong forum since this is not a troubleshooting topic.

In order to load a 100% save, you just need a 100% save and Xliveless. Copy the save to the location specified in the Xliveless readme and start the game. That's all there is to it.

CharmingCharlie

There is so much help available on the forum, there is even a massive section on save games in the FAQ it just needs a bit of effort on your part to do it.
