Someone said that Securom has a hidden URL (securom website/random gibberish/random gibberish) that opens a download window to the no CD. No webpage, just a download window. And it also has the 1.0.5.0 in it. But I'm assuming that since it's for 1.0.5.0 it probably won't work for anyone right now because no one has that version yet, pirate or not. Have you tried it yourself? The no-dvd launcher was taken down a long time back. What you see is the normal launcher that still requires the DVD to be put in. Also, if I'm not wrong, patches only affect GTAIV.exe, not LaunchGTAIV.exe. The pic posted in the first post shows details section of LaunchGTAIV.exe. Somebody needs to cross check this though. And that's LaunchGTAIV.exe btw, not GTAIV.exe. (btw I just use it for comfort so I don't have to switch those damn cd's all the time with other games.) Maybe he got it when it was still up on the site. But that's besides the point. As you can see, the version details of the LaunchGTAIV.exe is of no consequence and it, in no way, indicates anything about the next patch. The version could say 2.1.2.0 for all we know, but it would still be the same launcher that is originally installed along with the game. As has been proved to you on the previous page, the version details of the LaunchGTAIV.exe are inconsequential and do not indicate the patch version. No patch affects the LaunchGTAIV.exe, only GTAIV.exe. So, unless you can find a GTAIV.exe that says the version as 1.0.5.0, this topic makes no sense. Anyone can complain to take2 support and get a real, official no-cd patch for their IV Basically, your retail game doesn't need the patch - it reads from the disc all it will ever need (and again, you can complain to T2 and have them send you the link to email as well) My launcher is version 0.1.0.0 - I think this one is for steam. Patch-numbered launchers are for retail discs if I'm right, and of course players who remove steam. Someone with retail check, what is your suckurown version? It still shows the 0.1.0.0 version it showed before. The exe that is patched is the GTAIV.exe which reflects the latest version i.e. 1.0.4.0.
