Ohais
My game has been acting up lately and now, about a minute into loading my game and starting to drive around and such, my game freezes for about 5 seconds then goes black and says "Windows has encountered a problem, etc, game is not running correctly..." and then it says "Windows has to close the program, etc..." Does anyone have a reason for this? I am running Windows Vista 32 Home Premium and I have a Alienware computer so it shouldn't be a computer problem. Girish
What are your PC specifications? The first thing to do in such cases is to reinstall the video driver. Uninstall your current video driver, remove all traces of it with Driver Sweeper and then reinstall it. Make sure it's up-to-date. Also, try deleting all files from the Settings folder. More info here. Lastly, check all temperatures and make sure it's not an overheating issue.
mkey82
Do you maybe have some new stuff installed, something that works in the background and may hog the system resources?

Ohais
I'm not really a computer guy I don't know what all of that means but I don't know how to uninstall the driver and such. Now it seems all my games crash. Such as Madden 08 where I will be playing for a minute then it will go to a gray screen all of the sudden. but I can still hear the sound for a second then I have to manually restart. Girish
I have linked you to an application called 'Driver Sweeper'. Use it to uninstall your video driver. Then go here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista...90.62_whql.html Download that driver and install it. Restart PC as necessary and try the game again. If it doesn't help, then maybe your PC is overheating. In that case, you'll have to check all temperatures.
