Hit a dead end?

Just recently got into GTA, and thought id download VC as a starting point.

 

I seem to have completed all the missions, but im damn certain I haven't. I haven't seen an ending or anything.

 

The whole 'Sonny' thing seems to have been forgotten about.

 

Is there a way for me to check?

Describe your stance in the game. What were the last missions completed, Tommy's at the mansion?

Make sure you buy Malibu and the Print Works. But before that pass all the missions from the Tommy Vercetti Estate.

Well, I've got the mansion and been and sorted out the shops so that I receive protection money.

 

After that I finished a few side missions. Mainly the ones between the Cuban's and jamaicans?

 

Last mission I did was "TROJAN VOODOO".

 

After that I seem to have nothing to do.

 

Oh yeah, I also tried the Cherry popper distribution mission but the "jingle" on my van doesn't seem to work.

Only if you buy Malibu and Print Works +another property you will be able to reach the last mission.

Correction to the above....

 

The only required business to complete is Printworks.... besides that you must complete any 5 of the remaining 7 busineses... the Malibu club is NOT required to unlock the final missions(Brady guide is wrong- AGAIN), in addition you must complete the vercetti missions at the mansion (which it sounds like you have already-- "protection racket")

FYI-- Haitian, Cuban, Love Fist, Mitch Baker, Phil, Avery, and Cortez's final mission are all not required to finish the story-- not that you shouldn't do them...

I didn't say you read it from the guide, but the Brady guide is full of mis info that was repeated so much that you likely read it on another guide message board or what not, or heard it from someone and was accepted as fact-- the original source of mis-info was the Brady guide most likely.

 

No matter where the source, the malibu club is no required for story completion-- although it can be done for story completion.... I have verified this on a speed run I did through the story-- I skipped malibu and film studio as their missions take the longest as well as having the most missions (4 each)-- and still got the story completed-- took me 3 hours and 6 minutes on the game clock-- this was not done in one run and I did reload when I failed some missions..

 

Another frequently cited thing is completing pole position-- says you need to spend $600, you only need to spend $300

ah another jingle problem. Well on the PC version the jingle does have problems (well for me) and my solution is to just repeateadly tap that Rsh*t. Its a pain but it does work eventualy. Also if you are playing on the PC version dont ever, ever save at the ice cream factory because I have been told that if you do your saved game would get corrupt.

Also I think you have to take like the Printworks, boatyard, malibu and the Kaufman cabs assests before you can access the final 2 missions. Spoiler allert: The last 2 missions is Cap the Collector and Keep your Friends close

I covered what is required and what is not to finish the story... MALIBU is NOT required-- the only asset required is Printworks.... then it is any other 5 assets..
