Osric
Okay, this is a story about a man's rise to power in the Lupisella Family. It is set one year after GTA IV and while it starts off slow and seemingly pointless, it picks up, so be kind with your criticism as this story progresses. It is my first story outside BUYG and BUYA. PROLOGUE-A New Life A cold wind blew over the docks of Bohan, and sent icy chills up my spine. The stars shone bright and the lights of Liberty City shone even brighter. I waited at the docks, standing on the concrete ground, hoping Mr. Puchinello would arrive soon. My name is Dominic Gambaro, twenty-five years old and fresh off the boat in America. This is my story.... Finally, the headlights of a jet black Sentinel arrived at the docks. Out stepped a man in a cheap black suit and tie, he was of average height and weight, with dark brown hair, his eyes covered by sunglasses. He was the one I was waiting for, Vincent Puchinello. We had met in my native Palermo, where we smuggled guns for the Leone Family, the largest Mafia family in Sicily. I was never a member. Hell, I was barely even an associate. I just did that gunrunning job for a quick buck. This global recession bullsh*t was killing me and if Sicily wasn't poor enough, even the Mafia Dons were having a tough time. Vincent Puchinello was an associate of the Lupisella Family, a traditional Sicilian family based in Liberty City. They were one of the largest crime syndicates of the Western Hemisphere, behind only the Gambetti Family and Petrovic Bratva, both of whom were also based in Liberty City. Even though the recession hit America, Liberty City was still bustling and booming, at least for the criminals. That is why Vincent promised me a job in Liberty City, to work as an enforcer for the Lupisella Family. I accepted, because even the Families weren't employing back in the old country. Now Mr. Puchinello came up to me..... "Dominic! I knew you'd show up! Good to meet you! So, how was the trip?" "Well, you know, it was long, dank, and miserable. Glad to see you, Mr. Puchinello." "Just call me Vincent, no need for this formal bull. Get in the car." I entered the black car, sitting comfortably in the plush gray seat. Vincent turned on the radio to an oldies station. I could tell the song, it was "It Was A Night..." by Elvis Presley. I had always loved American music, especially stuff from the 50's. 60's, and 70's. As for the stuff of the 90's and onward, I couldn't stand. Good to know Vincent had the same musical tastes I did. As we left the docks, Vincent began to speak. "So, Dominic, any questions about Liberty City?" "Yeah, where am I going to live?" "Don't worry, kid. I know this landlord and he set you up an apartment in North Bohan. You'll have to share it with somebody else, though." "Who?" "A woman, a very cute woman, a little younger than you. She's also an immigrant, but she's Japanese, she aint paisan. Don't worry, she's like most of the tenants, doesn't give a sh*t about family business, but is smart enough not to f*ck with us." After hours of packed traffic, we reached the place, a three-story concrete building. It looked dull and gray, I knew this place would be a real hellhole. "Head on in, kid. I gotta go." I walked inside to the main office as Vincent drove away. The walls were beige and the carpet was a dark pine green, the room illuminated with boring flourescent lights. There was a middle-aged man at the front desk, wearing glasses and with thinning hair. He spoke in a dull, monotone voice..... "Excuse me, sir. Are you Dominic Gambaro? Mr. Puchinello told me about you. You live in Apartment 325. Miss Motomura will help you around, just take the elevator. But first, take this...." He handed me a key with the apartment number on it. I walked down the room and took the elevator to the third floor. Walking down the halls, colored the same as the main office, I reached 325 and knocked on the door. Opening the door was a cute Asian girl, looking like she was in her early twenties, with silky black hair, smooth, yet unusually pale skin, shimmering brown eyes, and maybe best of all, big boobs, which was also unusual, considering she was supposedly Japanese. She wore an unzipped gray hoodie, underneath it, a white fitness T-Shirt, and black track pants. She spoke in a chirpy, slightly accented voice... "Oh, you must be the guy Mr. Puchinello and Mr. Andrews were talking about. Hi, I'm Yuki, I'll be your roomate, and I'll show you around, help you settle in. What's your name?" "I'm Dominic Gambaro, I just arrived in America a few hours ago." "So, Dominic, where are you from?" "I'm from Palermo, Sicily. Hopefully you could tell by my name I was Sicilian." "Wow, a European. I've lived in Liberty City since I was 11, but I'm originally from Hokkaido. In case you don't know, that's in Japan. You know, you're kinda cute." "Thanks, Yuki. Can I come in?" "Sure, fine by me." We entered in, the place was nice, with soft white walls and gray floors. The place was sparsely furnished, but still serene. Yuki guided me to the couch and let me place my light suitcase down on the floor. I sat on the comfy blue couch and took off my shoes, finally being able to relax. Yuki spoke to me.... "So, Dominic, can I get you anything?" "Just a drink of water, please." "Sure." She returned, with a glass of water, and sat beside me. "So, what brings you to America?" "I came looking for a job. And you, what brought your family to America?" "My father's job required that he move. I actually kind of enjoy it here in Liberty City, people are less uptight. I know you seem nervous about being in a new country, but it'll be okay. You'll grow to like it once you get used to it. However, I need to give you some tips. Listen, I know you're with Vincent Puchinello, but be warned, he may seem nice, but cross him once and he'll f*ck you up beyond all recognition. So, if you are working for him, be careful and be prepared for anything." "Thanks for the heads up, Yuki." "Don't mention it. Just be careful. I'm heading to bed. If you want to sleep, we can share a bed, just look and don't touch." she said in a nice and sweet tone. Yuki seemed to be a very sweet and kind woman, I began to like her, even though I had only known her for a few minutes. I began drinking from my glass of water as Yuki headed off from the room. A few hours later, after watching some boring old TV, I headed off to bed, looking around the small apartment for the bedroom. There it was at the end of the apartment, across from what seemed to be the bathroom. I entered and the place was nice, with a beige carpet and a soft, queen-sized bed. Next to it was a nightstand with a lamp on it. But as I looked at the floor, I saw Yuki's clothes on the floor, and looked up to see her naked on the bed, reading a book as she lay on the light blue sheets and covers. She looked so beautiful, with her smooth skin, large breasts with their rosy nipples, and a serene look on her face as she read her book. I blushed from embarassment and began to walk off. "Oh, there you are! Don't worry, I like to sleep like this, it's more comfy. If you're ashamed, don't be. So long as you don't try and get busy with me, we're cool. Just lie down if you're tired." "Are you sure?" "Yeah, don't worry. Just lie down if you're truly tired." I took off my jacket and jeans, and laid down. Cuddling against Yuki's soft body, I looked over at what she was reading. It was apparently a paperback book, on the front of the cover was a cowboy holding a gun in one hand and a rose in the other. The title read "THE DARK TOWER BOOK I: THE GUNSLINGER" and the author's name was Stephen King. I heard of his books being popular horror stories in America, but I had no idea he did Westerns. "I had no idea you liked Stephen King." "Oh, yeah. He's my favorite." as she laid down the book and pulled the soft covers over our bodies. Turning off the lamp, she fell asleep, and so did I. The next morning, I awoke to the sound of a phone ringing. Yuki got out and answered it, revealing her firm, round ass. Again, I was embarassed at my attraction to her physique, but she turned around and spoke. "Dominic, it's Mr. Puchinello, he needs you." I answered the phone. "Kid, it's me, Vincent. I hope Yuki's treating you well. Listen, I got an important job for you, it's about family business. Meet me at the Newport Bar across the street." Getting dressed, I made it across the street, looking at the one-story building that was the Newport Bar. Nervously, I entered, waiting for whatever favor Vincent needed..... The actual job will be described in the next story. Stay tuned for more, as we chronicle Dominic's saga. VCRules86
Nice! Now I know what you meant by awkward in the PM, LOL! This is a good start dude. The characters seem fine tuned and the description is great. the one thing is and it's extremely small if you ask me, it's just a little suggestion and please don't take it the wrong way but if we are planning a crossover I think it'd be better if you switched this over to present tense to add to the feel that it's all the same universe. Just a thought, otherwise, you've got a base here. El Zilcho
Why are you waiting for feedback? Just get the next chapter up before you lose momentum, not everyone gives feedback but if you wait around like that nothing is ever going to get done. Post the next chapter ASAP, I'd like to read it because to be honest I kinda enjoyed the prologue. I'm interested to see how the story plays out, but I'm not sure if I will because you're stubbornly refusing to post another chapter till you get feedback. I hope this feedback is enough. Phil McCrevis
Such a classically beautiful tale. It's really is a pity there wasn't more of this or others things like it.
