BLaCKouT_1138
Hey folks, Just wondering what everyone's strategy was that's completed all 6 Robbery side-missions? I've done 1-5, but the 6th one is proving to be a problem. Let me explain: My Platform: PSP Where I am: Completed all story missions, purchased all empire sites (so I've got bulletproof cars). Maxed-out Prostitution, Protection, Loan Shark & Drugs. Tried Smuggling once (didn't like that boat, I'll come back to that one ). Completed Air Ambulance (extra health), Vigilante (armour), Fire truck (fireproof), Beach Patrol (infinite swim), Fire Copter and Taxi. Popped all balloons (so my heavy-weapons slot is currently set to M249, as I can pick this up every time I go past my safehouses - plus I find it more versatile than the rocket launcher). Strategy so far: I've been picking up robbery missions from the Little Haiti site, just south of the Pay'n'Spray, to do in daylight hours (hate driving at sunset). The water missions have been comparatively simple: you can get a decent shot at the driver of the carrier boat, then it's easy enough to take out the protector boats. Avoiding the police is also pretty easy in the water, and there's a sloping walkway just about opposite the empire site, so I can run up there and over the road before the land-cops have time to appear on the scene. The Securi-car missions, however, have been a little more challenging, although I had worked out a best-situation strategy. If the securicar starts at the Docks (1), it has to drive past my base of operations (2). This means I can lie in wait not far from there. As the truck approaches, I lace a few rounds of M249 into it (carefully measured so it doesn't blow up, because my machine guns just don't have the stopping power). If I'm really lucky, the Securi-car will block the protector-cars, and those guys will all get out to fire at me - easy take-downs. Otherwise, I hop back into my bulletproof landcruiser and take out the protectors from inside (hoping they don't tip me over). After that, the Securicar is close enough to my base for me to limp it home (usually got one or two wonky wheels by then), hoping the police don't ram me to increase the damage. It's worked so far. For the final mission though, the car always seems to be starting from the Stadium and heading over to the East Island. I don't know if this is a 'set-distance' result of where I'm starting the mission from? I'm also having trouble getting the damned thing to stop as it's way faster than the Securi-car. I tried getting out of the car to attack the Carrier with the M249, but it whizzed by too fast for me to stop it, then the Protectors started flipping my car and the cops interfered too So, is there a general 'best strategy' for this mission? From what I've read online, it's the most difficult, but there don't seem to be any actual hints or techniques to help for it. Also, the Empire-side missions seem to be the only ones in the game that no-one's put onto YouTube from what I've seen. Help me, GTAForums, you're my only hope
BreadBasket
You could always stand at the destination place and snipe out the driver. Then drive it home as fast as you can, the police won't be alerted until a few minutes after you shoot the driver, so all good... And if at first you don't succeed, try again and again and again and again...

GTA Phreak
I can't really remember the details of robbery #6, but: In general try to set an ambush along the route, don't go near the target let it come to you (once you get near it they'll get spooked and start driving like maniacs) Try to snipe the driver of the vehicle from a distance, - so that you don't destroy the car or the suitcase. If possible try to set the ambush near a Pay 'N Spray, that will take care of the cops and give you a healthy vehicle afterwards (but it won't fend off the security goons) Use a vehicle that handles well! Driving fast and safe makes the getaway much easier, IMHO it isn't so important that it's BP. Landstalkers (aka tumbleweed) rolls too easily and should be avoided. I prefer a bike, - you could use the BP Sanchez if it's available on PSP (?)
Little William
For that particular mission, I will use the Sabre Turbo from my smuggling business. It is much faster, and it doesn't roll that easily. And if you got all the empire sites, it is also bullet-proof. I usually use the drive-by method and then use the car to run over the courier and his protectors, as well as the cops. Because of the speed, I can outrun the cops and the protectors' backup to return to my empire site to complete the mission. BreadBasket
you could use the BP Sanchez if it's available on PSP (?) Unfortunately not available, if you mean the one outside of your first safehouse, then that is a PS2 exclusive buyable item.
MC.
Hmm I don't remember how I passed this on the west island but I just did this again to confirm how I passed it and it was on the east island though. I find it best to use the Sanchez and I noticed that the spawn points for The Money Truck, spawn on Starfish Island, (across from Ricardo Diaz's mansion) Prawn Island, Ocean Beach and Vice Point (near east side corner of North Point Mall) and sometimes they seem to stay still. So I ride by there and pull out my Sniper Rifle and shoot the driver but if the driver does drive the vehicle, I tend to check the map and see where's the location of where he's supposed to go. For example, if they spawn on Starfish Island, they usually take the bridge from Little Haiti to Leaf Links. I get on the Sanchez and go to Leaf Links and just wait on the open lane of where the enemy will drive towards you. Whip out the AK-47/M4/etc. and boom headshot! I also try to aim at the head of the backup guys so they won't run you over. I use the M249 and shoot the reinforcement guys right away so they won't piss me off by running me over and shooting with a drive-by. Or you can try to wait at the destination of where they will drop off the vehicle and just wait with your weapon and prepared to shoot the driver.
