Do you think Rockstar CHOSE to leave out certain features so they can be added later in Downloadable Content, rather than it be down to limited disk space? What things to you think or hope will appear in GTAIV from the GTAIII Era? Here's my list: * Melee Weapons; Nightstick, Katana, Chainsaws. * Muscle/Fat option; Purhaps in a DL Content, you are a friend of Brucie. * Immune to Crimes; a Corrupt Cop could give you a badge to do dirty police work. It just takes longer to build anything at the detail level (visual, physical, and behavioral detail) of IV than it did with the previous games. Time is money and they can only commit so much time to development before a game has to go on sale and earn their money back. SA was as feature-rich as it was because by reusing everything from III and VC it was really the product of five years of work, rendered at the detail level the PS2 could handle. By the time TBOGT comes out Rockstar will have been working on IV for about as long, but each piece of took more time so it still won't have as many pieces as SA. There are a lot of Basketball courts in Liberty, and Luis seems to be the Basketball type, well, more than Johnny and Niko. dabaannz Posted August 30, 2009 Share Posted August 30, 2009 I hope the katana comes back, I loved that weapon. there's a news report on liberty tree entitled " Dragonbrains"... it says that a fight ensued outside of a movie theatre and someone's head was completely cut off... there are more details but I can't remember them, one of the details is that people were dressed up like the characters in the movie and a sword was involved. I know the GTA III canon is over, but I wish he didn't have to go. Well maybe in the next GTA, if it's in VC, that hobo that found the diamonds will be like the new Phil Cassidy. I'm not sure because I haven't played it but I thought I saw a screenshot of his PDA somewhere. But Niko got an email from The Truth, Lazlow is still on the radio, there's a bunch of original character art plastered on the walls, and they even brought back Freddy Needs a Nanny and LCFR in Lost and Damned. I don't think the 3 canon is so much "over" as it is tossed in the back room and occasionally picked at to so as to maintain the familiarity of the atmosphere without entirely bringing us back to the good old days.
