farid_javadieh Posted August 30, 2009 Share Posted August 30, 2009 hey everyone.im new to this so sorry if im asking soemthin been answer before.well i have GTA4 and finished it and it was working all fine but one day i had to reinstall the game and since then everytime i try to drive a car the game start lagging.i mean before this it was algud nothing wrong with it but now it just lag when i start driving.my PC system is realy good and all settings are in high like it was befire reinstalling.i unistall it 3 times but stil got the same problem. i got Dual Core 3.00 GHz processor 4G DDR2 ram Geforce GTX 285 graphic card please help me and tell me waht shud i do to fix the problem.remember it only lag when im driving otherwise its fine as...thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Girish Posted August 30, 2009 Share Posted August 30, 2009 Delete all files from he Settings folder. More info here. Also, try the -memrestrict command as suggested in the pinned topic. If it doesn't help, update your video drivers. Uninstall your current driver, use Drive Sweeper to remove all traces and install the new driver. Also, defragging your hard drive would be a good idea. farid_javadieh Posted August 31, 2009 Author Share Posted August 31, 2009 thnx for help.i tried all things you said above and still same result.actually this hapend after i updated my graphic card to the newest version answer to other friend i tried to instal the mod and it crashed the whole game so i have to unistal it and do it again. is there any other way to fix this please? mkey82 Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Uninstall the game, revoke license, delete the install folder (usually c:\program files\rockstar games\Grand Theft Auto IV) and then reinstall the game and update it. That should fix it the first issue. Have you cleaned up drivers as girishb suggested? If yes, do it now (if unsure, look in the faq, there is a detailed guide how to do it).
