ChrisMathers3501
This is bullsh*t. Amine C'mon Uzi ? New Boat New Bike. Whats this all kids stuff for, give some real deal. Like gang wars system or something else, something fun. All I see from this is San Andreas + Vice City, Thats not Good enough. Where the story, Where the atmosfere of night life, clubs , smell of money for cry sake. You so naive people Chill the f*ck out. The first few screenshots always show a couple new weapons, vehicles, whatever. The rule of thumb is you NEVER hear about the new gameplay features until the previews and trailers start coming out. Besides, isn't the return of the parachute already big enough, not to mention us seeing a screen the mission where you get to f*ck up and burn a yacht the size of Colonel Cortez's? Be grateful. LordDastardly
Picture 1: Boom! Picture 2: Fire + Boom! Picture 3: Picture 4: BOOM! I'm liking the look of this, seems like R* realism may be going out of the window slightly in this DLC. In a way I suppose it suits the 'highlife' of Luis. This looks better and better by the day. ^Colonel Cortez... The good old days of Vice City.
Cilogy
It seems like this game is a lot more action oriented judging by how heavily the helicopters are used (yes even using the helicopter twice in the story is considered heavy). Of course we have a lot more screens to see, but that's the impression R* is giving.
stinomontana
oh crap, gotta change pants now 4rd pic: that yacht looks so awsome i hope its not a mission only boat 2nd pic: so does this mean that we'll be able to use the bikes from tlad? oh and in the first pic it looks kind of like the riots in los santos maybe well see riots (and a riotcheat) Edited August 30, 2009 by stinomontana

Magic_Al
I'm not surprised to see TLAD vehicles carry over. The only reason not to is to make the DLC version of TBOGT smaller and vehicles might not take that much space anyway. Just like SA and VC kept most of what came before, R* is using each episode to add more to the experience. I think TLAD weapons are possible too but maybe as hidden pickups because the gun stores don't change from IV and whoever delivers Luis' weapons couldn't carry all that sh*t unless the gun van is a semi truck, lol. It would be nice if Luis can buy clothes but I hope it doesn't look like Luis' head on Niko's body after you shop in the same stores.
CookPassBabtridge
Looking at that huge yacht, I reckon something similar would make a nice safehouse. Maybe moored up so you could still get straight onto land.

Exactly what I thought when I saw that picture. I hope this applies to cars aswell (if it is possible). You're the people who will incoherently, in between sobs, mumble things along the lines of "Rockstar... boohoo... promised that, that... *hic* we would be able to walk on trains!", when you realise that this was a mission-specific feature. I'm not trying to burst bubbles here, and I might even be wrong, but completely ignoring the things we learnt from IV, regarding such features, is quite ignorant. You aren't able to clamber around on moving trucks outside of 'Truck Hustle', and you probably won't be able to clamber around on moving trains outside of the mission portrayed in the screen shot, either. You'll be much better off expecting what logically can be expected, rather than jumping on the make-belief, hype-roller-coaster you are so inclined to. Is common sense now so rare, that we should call it something else?

Exactly the point that I made in a previous thread. I've learnt a hell of a lot from IV and TLAD and I simply refuse to read to much into things this time round. I'm going to take everything I read/see with a pinch of salt and just make do with what we're given at the time BOGT is released. That way, there's no disappointment and I'll learn to appreciate what I have just that little bit more.

edgarmcmunchkin
I have to admit, I thought that the Ballad of Gay Tony would be the worst of the two DLC's, but it is shaping up to be more like San Andreas with all the awesome new things like walking on trains and enormous boats, also unconfirmed reportings of sachel charges, miniguns and parachutes, (http://uk.xboxlive.ign.com/articles/101/1019731p1.html) this is gunna turn out the be the thing that will make GTA 4 TRULY PERFECT!!!! 1ManArmy
Oh god, the yacht and the chopper is awesome. The chopper is based on the AH-6J 'Little Bird' that is still in service. Really compact and nice chopper. Btw, if you guys look at the starjunction screenshot you can see that it looks as if it has MISSILES OMG WTF!?!?!???!!?! A chopper with missiles and machine guns is awesome! Edited August 30, 2009 by 1ManArmy

Leo Colt
Probably thought it would all be dancing queens and stuff. Of course, most of us knew it was going to focus on the high life, something that was sorely missing from GTA IV and TLAD.
ArcaneKnight
I think that chopper is the MHC-6 little bird http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MH-6_Little_Bird But this is looking to be f*cking epic Without a doubt, that has to be it. Like I said, it's an AH-6 Little Bird, which is the attack version of the MH-6 Little Bird. Also, since the article about that one person who described a small helicopter with a machine gun and rockets, I basically knew right away it was going to be an AH-6 Little Bird. Does anybody have any predictions of what the AH-6 Little Bird is going to be called in TBOGT? Since I was the first to come up with the idea, I would say (like I did before) the SparrowHawk. It's for surely not based off the same thing as the Sparrow, but the window is similar to that of the Sparrow making it seem like this could be a modern version of it. The MH-6/AH-6 Little Bird is also considered to be the Black Hawk's little brother basically so maybe it could be like the Annihilator Jr. Im just going to make a guess and say they'll name it the Tomahawk. the ronan
not shure if this has been brought up but in one of the screens lewis is walking on a train in the other games we could not walk on moving trains(which i thought was stupid)however there no way to tell if its moving so ill have to wait for the trailer. Enjoii
I'm fairly sure that it's moving, it doesn't look like it's near any of the stops. The helicopter is also at a slight angle, suggesting that it's chasing the train/Luis. However, I imagine that it will probably only be available for one mission, similar to Niko being able to hang off the truck.
Seddo
Good looking screenshots, blowing up that yatch with a chopper should be a fun mission. The Notorious MOB
I wonder who's in the car that Luis is shooting at... Or may be its just a non mission screenie to show off the Uzi. Maybe its Bulgarin I can imagine the Bulgarin chase being a long one, possibly some of his men are involved too, the uzi would be very useful, maybe it will have improved accuracy. Wait..I've been thinking, you know how Johnny had improved handling of Bikes, maybe Luis has improved shooting accuracy and/or helicopter handling. Parachutes and fun missions....this is what should of been in GTA 4 in the first place instead of going over the top on realism. if you dont think GTA IV has fun missions, somethings wrong with you. And i fail to see how blowing up a boat doesnt fit in with GTA IV's original 'realism' (you blow up sh*t all the time, mission or no mission.) "over the top realism" would be dying after two shots, always get caught by the cops, and so on and so fourth. IV has the right balance of realism and fake, unlike SA, where you go around flying sci-fi jetpacks and RC planes around. SA wasn't even fun for me. it was too, i dont know, cartoon-like? anyways, back on topic, these screenshots look pretty cool. still waiting for a screenshot of some new cars, though. r1sh12
um i think rockstar are not listening to their fans!!!! the explosive rounds from the annihilator in TLAD ruined that game which is why there are not many people playing TLAD. i see a different heli with exploding rounds WTF.. its only gonna be keeping more people away. i hope rockstar fix some of the retarded glitches, such as the dummy invisible glitch.
