NTAuthority
Hi, I'm trying to create my own (automated) conversion of VC to San Andreas, but I'm stuck on the paths. I do not want to create my own paths (which takes too much time), so I'm trying to convert them. steve-m's path import script (obviously) creates very buggy paths when exported, and there are no other tools for either importing VC paths as splines, or exporting SA paths from paths.ipl style files. Now, my question: Is there any way to directly convert VC paths to SA, either by paths.ipl compiler or by a importer for Max, or any other way? -- Bas Inactive in GTA/R* title modification indefinitely pursuant to a court order obtained by TTWO. xrk
Using 3ds max Steve-m has a vc path import script for max on his site. and for exporting sa paths use Deniska's path script.... click You'll just have to work on the paths (as spines), it wont be import then export. NTAuthority
You'll just have to work on the paths (as spines), it wont be import then export. And what do you mean with 'working on' the paths? Recreating them? Splitting/attaching them, and setting parameters? It's a bit of a broad wording... and I wouldn't know what's wrong with the imported paths that causes them to glitch funnily Inactive in GTA/R* title modification indefinitely pursuant to a court order obtained by TTWO. xrk
You have to brake (detach) it into single splines/paths (after importing from streve m's script) and check all vertices are fused/wielded on each spline/path so that if you turn on "show numbered vertex" the numbers will go from 1 to however many vertices there are on that particular spline/path. this is using deniska's paths script to export, which works fine as long as you prepare the splines properly. see pic for an example Edited August 29, 2009 by xrk
NTAuthority
I hate to ask even more... but could you detail the procedure a bit more? I have tried to select all two vertices at once (dragging a selection circle) and welding them, but I get into huge problems at junctions...
