I'm really hoping that it's freely available for us at any time, but I can see it only being available during certain points in the game.

Not sure if this has been answered yet, but GAMEinformer magazine, they say that once the mission with the chute is complete, it's available in the safehouse for use anytime.

It's confirmed for everyday use.

Didn't it say somewhere that after finishing some parachute challenges a parachute will be available at your safehouse to use anytime you want.

I really hope it's 24/7, but I just have that feeling it's the mission only. It would be funny if he gets hit by the chopper rotors, lands by the chinese food place, gets dragged in, and is served as sushi. That would be funny.

I want it to be the way it was in SA so you can use it 24/7 but I would like the controls to be better. Example; you should be able to perform flips (for fun) and other sh*t.

Really, imagine how many of you guys have cried for parachutes to appear in GTA IV. Yes, me too.

Now R* decided to add it into the game. If it would be a never-appear or a cutscene, damn, probably 50 percent of the IV fans of the internet would commit a suicide.

The parachuting system found in missions like these is actually pretty simple. You leap from a ledge (or helicopter) and use the analog stick to contort your body to adjust how much of an angle you fall at and how quickly you plummet. When you hit the A button, you’ll release your chute. With the chute open, you can lean left or right to steer, hit either trigger to do a more severe twisting motion, use an analog stick to raise your legs and fall at more of a forward angle, and pull both triggers at once to fall straight down. The DLC will also introduce new side missions that allow you to jump from skyscrapers and land on either stationary or moving targets to gather cash. Besides just hitting the target, you’ll also get more cash for free-falling for a longer period of time before releasing your chute.
