AZAZEL
Heya. Recently I've been getting a lot of PartyPoker pop-ups. At first I thought it was just YouTube who'd found another way to throw ads in your face, other than the annoying Google ad pop-ups inbedded into the videos. But it happens on most sites, and always when I click something. Only when I click something - for example the video progess bar on YouTube, a field in a form or a login, etc. They don't appear when I just load a page. This happens on both my laptop and my stationary, which are on the same network. I've tried my luck with SpyBot, but to no avail. Any ideas? Edmachine
Could this help you? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...07150235AAmXOsq http://www.techsupportforum.com/security-c...ker-popups.html The last link seems to be better. However, maybe the SP1 thing make solving the issue on whatever you run (surely not XP SP1, right?) a bit different. You can Google "PartyPoker popups" and search for other solutions as well if these don't help. okei
Do you have Messenger Plus! Live by any chance?
anus
What you should do is download Ad-Aware and fully update it. Fully update Spybot too. And then do full system scans on your PC with Ad-Aware first in Safe Mode and then Spybot. One of them will surely catch it.
AZAZEL
Do you have Messenger Plus! Live by any chance? Nope, just regular Windows Live! Messenger. Why? I've tried uninstalling a few dodgy applications I had floating about, and I haven't seen any pop-ups since. Hopefully that was enough.
