As you can clearly see, I clicked the "Flying cars" button, and results are obvious! smile.gif Window can be opened with the "C" button.

Here we have the Vehicle manager, with headlight color manager open. As you can see, my lights are on and set to yellow. This is the version I guess we'll use for a while. Openable with the "M" button.

 

Oh btw, met my new on Lagus:

 

The Yellow Super GT! <3 (with yellow headlights, of course)

 

EDIT: Oh btw, I'll go fix all major bugs that appeared yesterday tomorrow. Just to hope we'll get a bugless meet next time. (and a meet in which adding Nitro to your vehicle will not crash the client)

Didn't you already have 1.0.2? You joined us last week so you should have it. If somehow you're on an old version you could copy the downloaded data files from the server to the new installation. If you need help I'll be on IRC.

Yeah I managed to get it installed, not a problem. But is it absolutely required by the server to have the latest version? Its getting a little annoying. tounge.gif

Eh, didn't expect to win at all, especially after abandoning the game.

It was a nice little competition, hopefully more people will participate next time.

 

Not sure how you calculated the scores, but in a certain round 860 beat me, and I was wrongly declared as the winner (maybe because our cars went kaput at the same time). The scores may have to be changed.

Demolition Derby scoring system

 

Points will be awarded only to the last survivor.

The points will be Set up like this:

  • Last survivor: 16
  • Draw: 8
After all three derbies have been completed, players' points will be calculated and the player with the most points overall wins.

Note that in the event of a draw, a winner will be determined by Secondary Scoring Regulations (SSR).

 

The Tracks in order of play:

  • Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca - Derby arena
  • Blood Bowl
  • Dderbyarena
Each Derby track will consist of 5 round.

If you think you have what it takes to compete in the challenging championship, please mention so in the thread.

 

Race scoring system

 

Points will be awarded only to people who make it to the finish line.

The points will be Set up like this:

  • 1st: 16
  • 2nd: 8
  • 3rd: 4
  • 4th: 2
  • 5th: 1
After all seven races have been completed, players' points will be calculated and the player with the most points overall wins.

Note that in the event of a draw, a winner will be determined by Secondary Scoring Regulations (SSR).

Each player will be warped to a different dimension to each other.

 

After all three drift races have been completed, players' points will be calculated and the player with the most points overall wins.

Note that in the event of a draw, a winner will be determined by Secondary Scoring Regulations (SSR).

  • SAkina drift track
  • Hjphill drift track
  • Rokko drift tack
All drift tracks will consist of 3 rounds.

Drift events might not yet be coming for next week. (heck, only just learned of the idea) You see, there are some vital parts of the Race mode I think I'd rather have to fix first:

 

  • Multi-map support
  • Pitstops
  • Fixing spectator (which I should also add into DD, although that one has less need of a spectator function)
  • Some database to store all win records in. (including time)
  • Quite a few other things on the TODO. But those are generally much lower priority than the drift mode

I'm not even entirely sure how I'm going to do the first 3 on the list. So ehm, might take a while to be done.

 

I might start on the drift mode soon enough, so it may be playable for next week. But expect it to be buggy if so.

That is a highly inaccurate description of it.

What do you call a "drift" and what is the "most"?

Do you call a "drift" any point during the race where you exhibit sustained loss of traction? If so, can i not just sit there spinning my wheels and get points for it?

Or, do you have a more sophisticated system where the vehicle must be past a certain angle (relative to the initial centre of the car on the track) and only then do the points get counted. More points for the longer you hold it past that certain point and more points for the further around (or higher angle) you go?

 

Also, do you have "clipping points" on the track where the competitor must slide their car through at specific points to gain more points?

 

Now, about the "most". Does this mean the player who does the highest amount of successful drifts gets the most points? Or, the highest amount of consecutive drifts?

Or, does "most" refer to the amount of time spent in the drift? Like, the player that holds the drift for the longest and does the highest amount of successful drifts gets the most points?

 

There are a lot of things to consider and you did say that it is open for discussion. This might heighten the activity in this topic, also.

I think the best way is detecting if you´re driving on an angle.

Yes.

Points will be handed according to the angle and time spent in the drift.

Im not too sure about that, i'll ask him.

I am still waiting for the opinions of other people so if you could spread the word out that could help.

 

Also, we are in need of testers who would be willing to test the new scripts and report and problems that may be found. Hopefully with this we can have the actual meets with less bugs as possible.

 

As you may know, not much join in on these meets. I am asking you to tell many people you know to try MTA out and join us on the meets. Remember that the more players we get in a meet, the higher the benefit of enjoyment for everyone.

You're either out or eating?! Wtf. I stay up til 3-4am for these meets. Not a chance that im going to put effort into being there if it is moved forward.
