DemonKing
Well yeah pretty self explanitory title. Post some image of your favourite movie posters, and also elaborate on why you like these particular posters. I'll start Identity: I like the way the characters are placed as thumb and fingers in the handprint. Really looks cool. Magnolia: Once again, use of the characters in a object or sign in the cover. Really like it, also the fact it's a Magnolia and relates to the films title is good. Boogie Nights: Another film from Paul Thomas Anderson, and another good poster. The way all the character as centred in the star in the middle looks really nice. Also the light red circle behind it adds to the contrast between the dark red background. Being John Malkovich: Obviously cleverly done as it fits in with the whole movie theme, whereas people being able to become John Malkovich. But also what I find funny is the real Malkovich is among the crowd there. Straw Dogs: If you have seen this film you can notice the psychological trauma in Hoffmans eyes, much like it is in the film itself. His broke glasses, cold distant stare just conveys that. Donnie Darko: Once yet again, I am using a poster that involves characters in a image that is crucial in the film itself, but I just think this fits really well. All of the characters/props are placed well inside the rabbit mask. Well that's the ones I could scrape from the top of my mind. DemonKing
I particulary like that Taxi Driver poster as it really signifies Bickle's loneliness. Also that version of The Thing poster looks pretty damn sweet. I haven't seen that one before.
Andyzoot
The poster for Alien has always been a favourite of mine. It's more about the tagline than anything else. Remember when this film was simply known as 1-18-08 It was the total mystery around this film that was most appealing and that spreaded to the poster which gave no clues to what we were dealing except that whatever it was...it was HUGE! Hehe, you've got to love the old Hitchcock posters. I think there is one for Rear Window that doesn't challenge your nerves after the horror of Psycho, but I prefer this one as it introduces you to the main neighbours of Jimmy Stewart's character. Fnorg
I have a thing for the Scarface poster. I don't like the movie too much, but I do love the poster. And I like this one too, I was going to buy it along with the movie, but didn't find it on Amazon.

Vanilla Shake
I think this one is pretty sweet: This one. And these two: I just find these Batman posters to be brilliantly designed, especially the second one. Really made my excitement level go through the roof before the film was released. papanesta
My walls are actually covered in movie posters, so if anybody wants to see, I'll take pictures of them all. But, these are probably my two favourites: I seriously love this design, especially the way the text slants with the ground. Just so vibrant and well laid out.
