How far are you into the game? If you've unlocked the LV air races, you can go there, start 'Military Service', take the Hydra to the Verdant Meadows hangar and wait for the timer to expire. You'll fail the race but the Hydra will be there in the hangar.

Other than that, I'm unaware of any means to obtain it before the mission.

The LV airraces is unlocked after what mission ??

You have to pass driving school then do then mission for ceaser that appear after, this will unlock the races from there you have to unlock las ventures go to the airport and there should be a race flag on the map already.

Thank you

And Hydra was spawns as Area 69 after what mission????

AFAIK, the Hydra does not spawn there. It spawns on the Naval Ship inside the Naval Base in San Fierro. You'll get an immediate 5 star wanted level for entering the area though.

The hydra will be spawned @ Versant Meadows , in one of the Hangars!

That's after the mission 'Vertical Bird'.

2 Hydra's will spawn inside area 69, - AFAIK only after completing Vertical Bird.

Same thing goes for the Hydra spawn on the Carrier in SF.

I didn't know that! I thought the naval base and Verdant Meadows were the only 2 places where the Hydra spawned.

If you want to be really hardcore. Get a 4 star wanted level by flying a plane from LSX to another island then get out of the plane, shoot a Hydra that's chasing you and push it into your garage. tounge.gif

I think the safehouse near Cesar's house has a big enough garage.

I just ran a couple of old game saves.

I found the Hydras in the Area 69 after the "Home From the Hills"

Steal a Helicopter from San Fierro's Airport and fly it to the Naval Base in San Fierro. Fly the helicopter to the location and steal the Hydra. After, you need to fly the Hydra near a pay and spray, then find a car and spray it really fast before you get busted. Even if you get the Hydra, there's not so many places where you can save it in a garage before you unlocked the Verdant Meadows hangar. I think you might be able to put it in the Doherty garage in San Fierro with a tow truck.

If I was you, I would just wait until you unlock the street races. You can steal it from one of the missions that has it and park it in the big hangar.

Hmm, - I just checked the game scripts.

In my v1 scripts all the 4 Hydra spawns are enabled by the completion of Vertical bird.

So odds are that you have modded saves (CG saves ?)

Unless you are a fast learner.

I suggest you use the Cheat to spawn it. Practice flying it. It is very tricky to handle.

Then DON'T SAVE.

Go back to your regular save to continue.

How to keep the Hydra from mission Military Service???????

IIRC, the LV air races are unlocked after you complete 'Learning to Fly' i.e. the flight school.

Finish passing all the tests in the "Learning to Drive", and then do a few more sub-missions so that you buy Wang Motors. Do a couple of missions to open the Last Island... and you'll get a call from Jethro telling CJ about the races.

According to game script:

Complete Driving school ("Back to School") and complete the mission "Verdant Meadows".

Whatever happens last will trigger a phone-call which enables the races.
