Uranium-235 Posted August 23, 2009 Share Posted August 23, 2009 alright, on my system every game works great, Crysis, Far cry 2, AOE III, but GTA IV has this wierd problem. It seems to apply incorrect textures after ~10-40 minutes of gameplay, whats even more strange is it does this on the SocialClub GUI too (one of the following pics). I can Alt+tab in-and-out of GTA4 and it fixes the probelm with the game (for another 10-40 minutes anyways), but not social club (Not that I use SC, infact I hate it). System: I7 920 @ 3.66 3GB Corsair PC-1600 @ ~1450 @ 8-9-9-24 Asus P6T Deluxe V2 2x XFX Geforce GTX 285 OC (SLI) Sound blaster X-FI PCI-E Pro F1tality (Dolby live 5.1 out on sp-dif) Creative Z-5500 I know it dosen't make a difference for this problem 2x WD 1TB drives in Raid 1 (Intel ICH10R) -OS 2x WD 320GB drives in raid 1(same thing) -Games 1x WD Raptor 360 (swap file) 1x Blue-ray combo drive Corsair 850W 80plus WinXP 32-bit SP3 GTA IV with 1.04 patch temps are fine, again other games work great, and my frame rate in GTA is very good for the settings, and other then this wierd probelm, the graphics have no other problems here is a folder of the pics, anyone have any idea? http://www.paullinebarger.net/files/gta4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Weird though. And the reason Alt+Tab fixes the problem, is because DirectX terminates all resources and reloads them, when you go back in to the game. Uranium-235 Posted August 24, 2009 Author Share Posted August 24, 2009 Installing the Nvidia 190.62 seemed to have fixed the problem (at least, so far) and I found out a fix for the semi-common problem of the 'jell-o water' (which I thought was how the water supposed to look till I found a thread here about it). If you have your texture filtering set to performance in your Nvidia control panel, it causes it.
