Centrios
Hey guys, I have a problem loading up GTA IV, I bought it about 4 weeks ago and it has been running fine since the newest little update... since I installed the new update, now my GTA IV doesn't even start for me I even tried launching it through Social Club, and nothing. The spinning disk comes up on the cursor, but then stops.. like I didn't even launch GTA IV to begin with... I did CTRL+ALT+DEL to check if it was running in the background in "Process", It comes up for a few seconds and then disappears... ugh this is pissing me off... can't even play the damn game now could someone help me please? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
apache249
Don't click on the social club icon on your desktop. Open the one on the taskbar. I had that problem and it works if you use the social club at the bottom.

hetment
you tried launching game from launchgta4.exe in your gta 4 folder/ and you tried a reinstall?
Girish
Try deleting all files from your Settings folder. More info here. Before I suggest a reinstall, as a last stop measure, try running the game with Xliveless. If it works, it might be a GFWL related issue. Have you installed the latest GFWL update? Is that the update you mention in your first post? If that's the case, then try reinstalling GFWL and apply the update from outside the game.
