Any progress on the 80s Caprice, aka the ''box Caprice''?

 

Thanks , the caprice...im still laying out uv maps, not fun but gotta do it.

 

Edit; tried baking vertices shades, looks promising at least aesthetically, not until i converted to zmod format...vertices shading info are gone looks like im going to try doing it on zmod...

Hm, GTA IVs standard cars keep their vertex color information after importing/exporting in Zmodeler , right? That means Zmodeler doesn't have a problem recognizing them, your maya/max exporter must be the problem. Try different formats, export them and import them in maya/max again, if the colors are still there its Zmodeler .3ds import filter causing the problem. I haven't tried it yet, will do that this evening because I am not in the mood to bake them in Zmodeler.

The Caprice and Impalas are so damn perfect!I love them!

These 80s Impalas were often used for police cars, too.

Maybe the time allows a Coupé Version of these, since they are pretty rare, esp the Impalas.They are fabulous looking classics.

ICE enhancer 1.3 only compatible with my GTA4 version 1030. Tried using Fake's ENB but only requires version 1040, not in the mood patching the game

 

Too much bloom, a bit washed up...but looks interesting

 

my computer can barely run this at 1680 X 1050 no anti aliasing with average 20fps The control input is tolerable but less responsive than w/o enb constantly monitor the air coming out of the case

I'd love a '91 LTD. Honestly, every single year has been made for Crown Vic's EXCEPT '91 which I don't understand. In my opinion, they're the best looking model year of the entire run. There's one '91 Vic mod and it's really sh*t quality. I think it was converted from MM2 or something.

Yeah I hear that. My folks had one and it has to be the most attractive car ever to bear the Crown Victoria name. Wonderful cars, especially the 1990-91 with the new dash.

I think adding multi livery is much easier than that, if I remember well you just need OpenIV: create the liveries, named something as police_sign_1, police_sign_2, etc. (you can add up to 8, from what I've heard, but the most common is to add 4) and I think then you just have to import them with OpenIV. Also, in the vehicles.ide, to enable them ingame, you have to add, at the end of the line, a +livery.

 

Anyway, I was told so but I'm not completely sure if that's the whole progress...

Multi livery has to be mapped that way. It's not just adding liveries.

As for the car, looks great. Amazing job!

 

Oh, and did I hear someone was in need of a lightbar?

I am not expert with police covnersion, i have no els mods. Now, I let others converts my cars into police models. My LTD crown vic and caprice are all over LCPD FR.
