no trailer @gc & first facts date!

I think it's funny that people are upset that it wasn't at the gc because they thought it was confirmed to be there. Nobody confirmed it! It's always been speculation. I didn't believe that it was going to be at the GC because if it was going to be they would've said so. Fan sites like planetgta.com would've been filled in that it's going to be at GC. I guess we'll just have to wait two more weeks.

Yeah, someone from GTAnext.de said that there MIGHT be a trailer at GC. A couple of people mistook this as a fact, and it brought over 50 users on that one thread. We all looked like idiots at the end.

 

Anyway, We've waited since May. We can wait two more weeks.

I'm starting to think R* doesn’t even have anything done for this game. Like they've been focusing on some other pointless task like porting CW to the PSP, & because of this they don't even have some kind of BoGT beta, let alone a trailer. Cheep basterds, I'm so f***ing close to not even giving a damn about this game any more! But, I know that with enough patience & something else to focus on, I'll still end up getting it just because I still want to know more about Liberty City’s new story it has to tell. </rant>

Well, I think it's important for me to tell you why your opinion is utterly wrong. First off, Rockstar has several branches that develop, not just one. Leeds is most likely the team working on Chinatown Wars while North is doing the DLC. And the game comes out in October, they've definitely been working on it. In fact I'd say it's probably almost done, and they may even be doing some testing. Games do take a while to make you know. And just because they're holding back the big showoff for the right time doesn't make them cheap. They don't want to show it off until they're comfortable with what they're showing and have a good venue to do so. But it's cool, just go ahead and keep thinking you know what you're talking about and making asinine assumptions about a company that is working their asses off to make something fun for you to play.

The game comes out in two months I'd say its more or less completely finished by now like chances are the version that was played at Gamescom will be the exact version we'll be playing on the 29th of October. Which makes it even stranger that they havent realesed a trailer. My guess is that they had something in the trailer that they ran into some issues with a bit down the line and had to re-edit it but didn't get a chance until now. Either way we'll be getting some info on the 7th of September.. or the 5th if certain sources are correct. I was a bit pissed off but I've subsequently cooled off and two weeks from now is good enough for me.
