John The Grudge
Hello. So,today (at 6:21 a.m GMT+8 time) the first day of fasting has arrived. For us Muslims, this marks the Ramadhan month, which means a whole month of abstaining from eating and drinking. Other activities would be abstained aswell, such as sex(that means mastering aswell) and picking your nose, for example. The rule is basically, from 6:00 a.m until 7:00 p.m (Well here eneways) we must abstain from those things for a whole month (i.e 30 days). So,before 6:00 a.m,we must wake up and eat for a little bit,to ensure we would survive the following day. Fasting in Muslims ensures that all Muslims are the same, and aswell as getting to feel how unfortunate people are actually going through on their lives. So,for those who are Muslims, happy fasting to you. I'm sure I'm not the only Muslim here, right? What is it you eat in the morning to keep you going? How weak do you feel at the end of the fasting period, if at all? I think even Muslim athletes do this. I remember Amir Khan saying after a fight that Ramadhan was coming up so he'd be fasting. I wondered if it screwed up his training much. I doubt I could do it. I have a bowl of cerial in the morning and I've got the shakes by 11.30 I'm so hungry. Pathetic I know. Oh and good luck with the fasting.
Maxrevv
D-Ice: You can even gargle if the inside of your mouth is too dry, just don't swallow, simple. Kanja: Same to you. =D EzaH: Happy Ramadhan to you aswell, waalaykumussalam. Oxidizer: Hah,this is where it gets wrong. Fasting month is a great way to spend time with families, which some of us rarely see,and we do have to give our digestion system some resting time with all the junk you've been eating,so there you go. FnB: That's good news, mate. Usually when its time for exercising, its usually done in the morning so that we don't feel much hungrier or thirstier, but activities can still be done in Ramadhan, just that you need to be careful. Football is a very active sport,so congratz man on halting the temptations. Hell...no: I just want to say,oh HELLL NOOO. The rewards are you feel much better when you fast, because now you can survive without food or water for half-a-day. IDK bout you,but for meh,its a good feeling, and it does test our discipline and determination. John: I usually eat rice,or meat,to keep myself less hungry. Protein keeps you full for a reasonable time more than carbs. And I take multivitamins (Vit C,B12,such),it gives us the energy to go the rest of the day. I'm not sure bout athletes tho, they may fast or not fast, depending on what they are active for. Try going from breakfeast and don't eat until dinner. You can drink but try not to eat. You'll get the same feeling as we do,though its a bit harder than that. Good luck.

Shaunr
I don't like the idea of not eating for religious purposes. But of course i don't have a religion. so i guess i'll just eat this delicious hamburger. but don't get me wrong, i respect your faith.
