How to get more FPS in GTAIV?

Is thare eny tutorial,tweak,or something alse,that i can get more FPS...my FPS is 10-23.

 

my PC:

 

Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.00Ghz 3.00Ghz

 

4.00 GB of RAM

 

ATI Radeon HD 3600 512 MB

 

Windows Vista Ultimate SP2

Ati cards doesnt like small resolutions! Ive tried on my old PC with ATI card smallest vs biggest res. which I can set, and I get better FPS with bigger resolution. Try it.

P.S.: That P4 is gona be killed with this game. Buy new CPU, like E5x00/E6x00

P.S2.: Overclocking isnt that risky at all, but you have to know something about it first and have a good motherboard..

i think it is quite risky, but im not hardware smart, but not at a level where i need to send my pc off to be done at the shop, but i wouldn't trust myself with overclocking i feel like i will only damage my system, i would need some extra cooling first, the only overclocked hardware i have is my GTX 260 but it was factory done by XFX.

no you wont come far with a P4 in this game. it is very cpu intensive, it eats dual cores and even quads. even I go under 30 fps sometimes with a quad at 3.5 ghz.

I overclocked my E8400 from 3.0 to 3.6GHz and I got 11 more fps (51fps now) in benchmark at higher settings than before, so IF you can overclock it you can always do that.

But heck, I shelled out no more than 550 euros for this PC (E8400, HD4870) and I can play at all max except view/detail distance... sooo, if you need a new PC anyway or something...

Running a single core cpu with vista is a bad idea for gaming,you need a dual core at least cause games will run like crap in single core and with gta 4 in a single core cpu in vista is asking for uber slow frame rates,nothing at all except for going back to winxp will give you a boost in fps.

A Core 2 Duo has guess what? TWO CORES. Your ubah l33t Pentium 4 has one, plus its an old processor.

 

Your computer doesn't come anywhere near what's required. Who would have thought an extremely graphics and CPU intense game would actually REQUIRE a decent graphics card and CPU? The best you can do if you don't want to go out and buy a new computer or atleast upgrade that eyesore you call a processor, set the settings to all low and enjoy your hardcore gaming at 12 FPS.

First, the Pentium 4 is a single core, although if I remember correctly I think there is a dual core P4. Perhaps, instead of making yourself look like a doorknob, you should say that you actually have the dual core model? Otherwise people will assume that you have the single core one.

 

Second, I didn't say your 3600 was bad. I said a decent graphics card meaning something like the 4000 series.

 

Third, I couldn't really care less if you get a new computer or not. Just don't bitch about why your current computer cant play IV with decent settings.

 

Fourth, I dont care if you are getting 12, 30 or 23 FPS.

 

Fifth, if you've read the requirements 100 times (and I don't know what kind of weirdo with a requirements fetish would do that anyway...) then why don't you seem to realise that with a way-below-par system you are not going to be able to run it decently?

Well all that i want to know. is thare any tweak that i can get more FPS: I faund some videos on you tube,and i faund some tweaks on GTAInside and hare on GTAForums,i try it aut,lets see if the FPS gets biger.

P4 is single core, what you see, is HyperThreading, which is useless
