Rob.Zombie Posted August 21, 2009 Share Posted August 21, 2009 So, a lot of my friends complained about an error called "unrecoverable error". They say it's the car mods that causes them. This means you go online with your modded cars (new model, like subaru impreza) and some seconds later other people who are near you crash with unrecoverable error. So is this true? Cuz I do have modded cars and I see tons of people leaving the server. First all you can see is that the other player is lagging like f*cking hell (they warp back to the position they were and keep running) then they leave the server. If it's true can any1 tell me which cars are "bugged" and maybe what causing this? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The theory behind it is that, when you are adding custom modifications into gta iv, "any slight change or loss of texture & wrong values cause the game to crash unexpectedly". Also without the presence of proper textures & replacement structures, it occurs constantly. It appears as SAMPA60 Unrecoverable fault and so on, interrupting the gameplay. However if you are cautious while adding the custom modifications, change the values completely, then it wont occur. Rockstar games itself has listed more than "40 errors" all in different forms but all regarding "the Unrecoverable fault". Me and my fellows have experienced it too. I added the LP640 and I made some people crash lmao , but when I added the stock Nissan Silvia S15, no1 crashed. I have no god damn idea what might be the problem, cuz both cars works great for me in singleplayer. Anyway I saw that they solved the SMPA40 error or something like this for the Impreza in v2. And imagine this crash like, you're playing MP, then all of sudden you CTD and this messeage appears. No bugs before you crash (this means you won't see 2 cars or you won't see a bouncing car before you crash) In simple words, it is a technical error which is over-held becuase of the fact of different structures in which even "a loss of polygon" can result in the game crashing. Some dont experience the error, but sometimes when they add a car, they cant access the car, even when its spawned. GTA IV has this inbuilt regulation system which denies access, sometimes to play it normally (40+ unrecoverable fault errors causing game crashes) or denial in the games accessing features. IUm having it too, on a point on the map, the bridge that splits to dukes and algonquin when you enter algonquin, i can easily use the bridge to drive in algonquin, but i cant pass it. No thanks, but as I've said it doesn't make my game crash, but the other players in MP. Anyway I'm not sure, but I've found out that if I install a car over 1 MB it won't crash others game, but when it's below 1 MB, then it do. And I have a Silvia S15 which only has a spoiler as extra, but when I replaced the uranus (which has about 5 extras), it didn't crash any1. FFS how many times I have to tell you that my S15 doesn't have the same amount of extras, but still doesn't make the game crash, while the LP640 has the same seat dummies, same extras and still makes people's game crash. It has nothing to do with extras or dummies. logitec can you write a list what cars have you tested? Tested cars that doesn't make the game crash: Mercedes SL65 AMG v2, Aston Martin DB9, Nissan Silvia S15 (stock version) and Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 v1 and v2 made by Hieros. And don't list the cars that you haven't tested online. If you see some1 suddenly leaving the game, than it's probably because you made his game crash. Don't list cars that gives you errors. I just can't believe it. SA didn't have this problem, although it's multiplayer was made by a bunch of modders. When you replace Turismo u got that error becose! TURISMO has extra1 when comet doesent have them at all! I think it's necesary to change somewhere in game files! and set if car has extra or not!
