Vercetti2008
Well...I must notice that I've never played on a PS2, so I wanna know, is it possible to put a 100% save on a PS2? I don't know whether I can pass them at all. I'm a loyal PC gamer. & all these DVD games I did on PC. So, is it possible to put a 100% save on a PS2/3? Just say YES or NO. Spuds725
Sorry my answer is not yes or no.... It should be possible on PS3 pretty easily, however, I have not yet tried so cannot confirm. It is possible on PS2-- but not sure how--- I read about it somewhere-- I cannnot recall where-- I think you needed some external hardware. I did buy a USB memory card adapter for my PS3 so I could move my saves over to the PS3 hard drive.... I did try plugging this into my PC and it could not find a driver for it... so could not read the files off my card-- I'm betting I could move my saves from my PS3 to a flash drive and then upload. Did you want me to try?? I've never had a need to. Spuds725
Regarding PS3-- I just did this but it looks like you can't copy individual saves-- I was able to copy all the VC saves from my hard drive on one of my "virtual" memory cards to a flash drive as one file-- each of the games on my "card" show as one file containing all the saves. The VC file showed up on my flashdrive as file name -- "BASLUS-205524754413430303030.PSV" So to copy just one save you would have to delete all the saves except the one you wanted to copy. FYI-- what the PS3 does is makes you create Virtual memory cards on your hard drive, as many as you want-- and then these act as memory cards-- to use them you must assign slots (1 or 2) to the "cards" if you want to read/use the files off that card-- it looks just like it does on PS2.... you can switch cards/slots in game if you want to. Also-- in case you didn't know, not all PS3s play PS2 games-- they don't even make the PS2 compatible ones anymore..... And one last thing, there are actually 3 different versions of vice city for PS2 and the saves are not compatible between versions, so to use saves, you would have to get them from someone with the same version as you.... If you need more info on this, let me know--- I researched this and posted this somewhere on here--- would have to search my old posts.... how to tell them apart I mean.... If memory serves me.... Version 1-- Original PS2 version Version 2-- Original double pack Version 3-- Later double pack, triple pack, and greatest hits... (these are all the haitian friendly versions) Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games.... radioman
To my knowledge, the only way to transfer saves/add saves to and from the PS2, is with a Cheat Device-either Gameshark or ARMax. I forgot the process used, as I have only done the save adding with ARMax one time with SA, and it was trial and error, and got lucky it worked. Spuds has covered the PS3 part very well, I just have one thing to add, and that is: the Original versions and newer versions(Trilogy and Greatest Hits) are NOT compatible, BUT the Trilogy Version and Greatest Hits version saves ARE compatible-I have confirmed that part of it, as my saves are from the Greatest Hits versions(III, VC, and SA), and they all work with the Trilogy Pack version. I didn't know there was a Double Pack, as I have only seen the Greatest Hits version and the Trilogy Pack version in the stores and on the online stores.? Spuds725
Here is my more detailed post on the versions-- includes links to Gamefaqs where I read of the version differences.... my memory was correct... http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=389151 The double packs were released before SA was released-- VC and III. There are two versions of the double pack-- haitian friendly and unfriendly and they are not compatible with each other.... All the haitian friendly versions are compatible with each other... they include the haitian friendly double pack, the greatest hits, and the triple pack--- The link above links to the gamefaqs which has more detailed info on how to tell them apart.... Spuds725
There are 2 PC versions-- the ones bought in stores and intalled off disk, and the newer steam DLed version that can be purchased online and DLed. Saves are not compatible-- Saves on your PC should be in a folder under my documents.... Spuds725
I'm not sure what you are saying exactly... Are you asking how to upload them? The saves should not be compatible with PS2 version... There are a bunch of saves stores and linked to from this thread-- including a 100% save... http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=397970 Edited September 3, 2009 by Spuds725 Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games....
